Like people had the feeling Terminator: The Sarah conner chronicles was going to be cancelled?

Instead the network picked it up for a whole season.

I doubt Fringe will be cancelled, we only had 6 episodes yet. And the network picked it up for 22 episodes atleast.

I think the story will be opened up more in the upcoming episodes, i still enjoy watching it.

Ratings are around 9-10 million, so I doubt it will be cancelled. Fox picking it up for a full season is also a pretty good clue.

The show has been picked up for a full season, so I don't think it's going anywhere.

Fringe is hoovering around 9-10 million viewers. I doubt it would get cancelled anytime soon with those numbers. Last weeks episode was one of the best yet. If this is like J.J.'s other shows it will get better as we go. I love the show and try my best to get my friends interested as well.

If anything, it'll probably get cancelled at the end of a second or third season. It's safe for a while, T:SCC, a show that must be more expensive to produce, is getting just over half the ratings Fringe is and it got renewed for a full season. By Fox standards for scripted programming, this show is a hit, along with Bones, 24, and House. And it's destroying the Mentalist in the key demos.

No, nothing but Presidental election stuff all last night.

Good news is that it's nothing but new episodes of Fringe from here on out until episode 11 when the fall season break begins.

I don't think there's any danger of Fringe being cancelled, at least for this season. Offhand, I'd have to guess that Fringe is the hottest new show this season. I can't think of anything else that's gotten more attention this year. Of course, it does feel like kind of an off year, with no Lost until the Spring, Heroes struggling in the early weeks, and The Office seemingly falling out of favor.

I hope that it doesn't. I am really enjoying this show. I do have to admit it took me a few episodes to really get into it, but now I am in love with it. I am also doubting that it will as it was picked up for a full season. I cannot wait for the next episode.

I'm not sure if anyone has heard this but I read in the TV Guide of the Sunday Herald Sun that Joshua Jackson has a six-year commitment to Fringe. So I presume this means J.J Abrams is planning to have the show finish after it's sixth season just like he has planned with Lost. I can understand that he would want to have an overall idea of what would happen throughout the entire series run but personally I find the idea of planning six seasons of a show that has not even finished it's first season a little optimistic. What do you guys think?

I don't know about six seasons, but I'd be surprised if we don't get at least three full seasons.

Hi guys, I recently hunted for new shows and immediately fell for Fringe (unlike The Mentalist and Eleventh Hour - yawn) with it's laid back acting, and being a former X-Files fan, this fell right in my taste. I'm up to episode 7 now.

Thought I'd pop by this forum, and I got a little scared when I saw this post. Thank goodness there was nothing to that rumor! I have no idea how it's doing in the media, but if the viewer numbers you're quoting are true, it doesn't look like it'll get cancelled anytime soon. It would be a great shame for Fox to waste such quality, too.
