When Walter goes to his office to get his father's notes, the apple glyph with the embryo seeds can be seen worn into the backrest of an office chair.
Trivia: During the beginning of the wedding you can hear Deutschland Deutschland Uber Alles, when you filter out the high notes.
While there is an explanation for the fact that Peter isn't affected by the same genetically-tailored toxin that affects Walter, no one but Walter is aware of that explanation. Olivia never wonders why Peter is immune to the same toxin that specifically targets Walter's DNA.
When Walter talks about his father, Peter says "Yes, I know. [He] came here in 1933, which was long before the Nazis ever took power." Actually, that was the year the Nazis (NSDAP along with allies DNVP) reached majority and Adolf Hitler was appointed Reichskanzler.
Trivia: The glyph code for this episode is FATHER.
Trivia: The Observer can be seen outside the cafe, walking left to right, as Jordan's mother says "We're talking about skipping her up a grade."
Markham: (referring to Peter) How is it that a beautiful lady like you is stuck with this guy?
Olivia: It's my job.
Markham: I got plenty of books on how to rethink your career.
Walter: I kept my tuxedo in the hope that one day I would have a son who would wear it. You could wear it on your wedding day.
Peter: Yeah, you know, Walter? Tuxedo styles change.
Walter: Oh, nonsense. Purple never goes out of style.
Olivia: So he programmed the toxin to target whatever group he wants.
Walter: Any group with--with common physical characteristics or genetic similarities, yes. Um, tall people, short people, fat people, skinny people, black people, brown people, or white people...
Peter: Hey, Walter? We get it.

The seahorse and the apple, iconic promotional images for the show, both play a role in this episode. Hoffman is eating the apple in Walter's refrigerator, and the seahorse is Robert Bischoff's chemical "signature."
Blair Brown is credited but doesn't appear.
