A full, fact based look at international bribery from US to UK to Saudi Arabia. You get a whole main course on corruption involving not just these countries but neighboring countries as well.





Bribery of course is nothing new, but Frontline really does its job of getting all evidence to show how it's done. You won't look at the UK the same again. Why the UK professes to be more sophisticated than the Americans, the UK has a long history of corruption, and hypocrisy. Specifically here the episodes shows how the UK was involved in a shady deal with Saudi Arabia to get firearms and create jobs.





They also show you how Saudi Arabia (the same place where the 911 hijackers came from)using a few idle threats got the UK and US to back down (or go along with them)from carrying out the corruption and bribery from achieving any results.





You also see how Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher


were also involved in the corruption.





It was hilarious when they showed how Tony Blair really is a bad liar and a corrupt fool himself.





I really enjoyed this episode. It was to say the least very informative.





On the sad side, it's also sickening how all of these countries engage in these activities while professing to fight for truth, justice and fairness in a world dominated by bribery, corruption and money.

I just found this show and I'm trying to catch up on the last episodes. I think Frontline is pretty amazing in discussing current political, cultural or social issues. It's always a good think to have a good documentary show that isn't afraid to ask the right questions. Especially since there is this big urge to cover important things up. So this program is in my opinion really important in bringing the truth to the people and in a way "educate" them. I just wish there would be a possibility to watch older episodes. They were pretty amazing too. So both thumbs up for this one!!!

Unlike other news shows like Dateline, 20/20, etc, this show does not try to think for you. You are presented with the facts and information and are encouraged to reach your own conclusion. Two people with different viewpoints could both watch an episode of Frontline, both call it informative & well written & draw separate conclusions. If you are looking for a news show that espouses only your point of view and/or draws conclusions for you, this show is not for you. If you like being given the facts, both sides of a story and having to draw your own conclusions, you will enjoy this show. It is a refreshing departure from news shows that are created only to reinforce the opinions of their creators.

I've watched a few episodes of Frontline, and just honestly never found them as unique or mentally stimulating as i would generally hope to find in a television show. If you like many other shows of a similar nature, you will probably like this one too, but nothing seemed to stick out to really make Frontline better than any of the rest. This is all just my opinion, of course, but I think that most of the topics are not very mentally stimulating or relevant, but rather are just meant to stir up emotions and to try to get the audience emotionally involved in the story, but by the end of the episode, I find myself thinking, "why should I care?"

This is a great home for documentaries that aren't American Experience-y or (presumably) "cool" enough for theaters.





Frontline has wormed it's addictive way into my life over the last half a year or so with the relatively blunt reporting on Iraq, the sex slave trade, one drug epidemic, and an aching biography.





In my opinion, a good documentary has an opinion, but it shows all the colors, or as many as time allows, about your subject. That way the subject is not dumbed down nor are the audience members spoon-fed what they should think. A great documentary film should spark thoughtful discussion.





This undervalued outlet for unflinching looks at consumerism, medical ethics, foreign policy and it's ripple effects at home, crime, politics, and various persons who've impacted our society show us what has come before and yet give us more to research and learn about and work towards understanding better. Maybe even solve, if a problem is scrutinized.





A great show with amazing history; I highly recommend this show. Age approriateness depends on the tween to teen you watch this with.

I've watched Frontline nearly since its debut in 1983. Specifically I remember watching a program on a clash in Greensboro, North Carolina, between communist labor organizers and white supremacists. That program focused on a white-supremacist informant, and how the police treated and used his information. It was a documentary that, for myself, for the first time didn't take sides. It presented testimony by the participants, and made no attempt to guide the thoughts and feelings of the viewers. It was the first time I'd ever seen a prgram that let me think and feel the way I wanted to about a subject. That was twenty years ago, and Frontline has continued to produce fantastic indepth documanteries to this day.





Frontline's programs have ranged from geo-politics to so-called "adult films," to equal rights, to the battle in Mogadishu, to whatever intriguing subject one can think of. And it's all done with the aim of informing and educating the viewer on how said subject is treated and perceived by those involved.
