You could call it SNL-lite. A small group of struggling actors, comics and musicians making MTV-like sketches out of pop videos. Wayne would do Michael Jackson, Khandi did Tina Turner and Pam did Madonna... or tried to. Bridget was the hottie of the group; Paragon the only veteran of the group best known The Breather from "Elvira - Mistress of the Dark." The series was enjoyable at the time, but today, the stretched Eighties references would be horrible dated. Had it last longer, we'd probably have seen Britney and Hannah rip-offs. Sometimes, the comedy was uninspired like burning photos of kid stars to "Hot Child in the City," or it was off-beat, like cute and petite Bridget in traffic court suddenly belting "Can't Drive Fifty Five" or it was just all out demented, like a documentary into Madonna's navel, and there's a tiny gold prospector in there. Despite lasting just one season, I liked it, and to this day, I still got every letter from the show's production for sketch ideas - not that they used everyone. I wonder of anyone still has the FTV t-shirts which Bridget and Khandi always modeled?moreless
