      • Mr. Yarby: We don't have any kids, Hatcher. But if we did, you can bet we would teach them some manners.

      • Dad: (mocking boss) Well we don't have kids Hatcher, but if we did we would teach them to eat this repulsive soup!

      • Peter: (about Fudge) Can you believe this? My turtle's history because of him, and he gets all these gifts for swallowing him. Is that fair?
Jimmy: Yeah, you're right, Peter. I'd get mad if I were you. (He shakes a gift.) Hmm, I wonder what's in this one.

    • NOTES (2)

      • This episode is based on the first two chapters and the final chapter of the book, Tales of a Fourth-Grade Nothing (1972), entitled "The Big Winner", "Mr. and Mrs. Juicy-O" and "Dribble!," respectively. Differences include Warren's client not only including Juicy-O but Soupy-O as well, there is no mention of turtle soup in the book, Peter got Dribble from a different friend's birthday party instead of Jimmy's, and instead of Muriel shouting "What a question!" at Peter for asking "Alive or dead?" after hearing the good news on the phone, Muriel sits down with Peter and explains what happened, leading into a family sitcom-esque scene discussing how death is a natural part of life.

      • This episode would have to take place before the movie, because this episode is the first mention of the dog that appears in the movie.
