Stephanie: (comes out of the room in disguise) Goodbye, chicken pox prison, hello, ballerina.
(Joey says he never got chicken pox)
Joey: Germs take one look at my body and say "Hey- why waste our time?"
Jesse: Women say the same thing!
Joey: Obviously, it's malaria. Look at all these mosquito bites!
Danny: Joey, those aren't mosquito bites. Those are chicken pox.
Joey: But I can't have chicken pox, I'm immune.
Jesse: You're immune to common sense. Face it, you've got the chicken pox.
Joey: Okay, but as soon as I get over it, I'm immune!
(Jesse and Joey are miserable with their chicken pox)
Joey: You know what?
Jesse: What?
Joey: If you scratch me, and I scratch you, then we're both still tough guys, right?
Jesse: Tough and resourceful. Get my back!
Stephanie: Daddy, aren't I too young to be getting pimples?
Danny: Uh-oh. Steph, those aren't pimples. Those are chicken pox.
Stephanie: Chicken pox? I caught something from a chicken??
The song that Jesse and his friends are singing at the beginning is called Hodja which was originally sung by Todd Rundgren.
When Jesse, Joey, & Stephanie were itching, they were singing That's the sound of the man, working on the chain gang. Chain Gang was a song by Sam Cooke in 1960.
This episode's title refers to the phrase A pox on your house. It is a commonly used curse from the 16th and 17th century and is directly tied to Smallpox and Greatpox (Syphilis).
