When Vicky mispronounces Kimmy's last name, the canned audience does not laugh, but at Kimmy kindly correcting her?! WHY?!
Why would Danny always block out 1989 when talking about how long D.J. and Kimmy had known each other? And I need an honest answer. What has Kimmy ever done horribly wrong back in '89?!
Danny: (to D.J.) Listen, honey. In life, if you're lucky, you wind up with a few really good friends, and somehow, beyond my realm of understanding, Kimmy is yours. And when you have friends, you have to come through for them.
Kimmy: (to Comet) Comet, you came too! All these years, I thought you hated me.
Stephanie: That was mean.
D.J.: (trying to find ingredients to make a cake) These cupboards are empty! Who's eating all the food?
Stephanie: Your boyfriend, Robo-Mouth.
Kimmy: (after receiving her birthday present from Joey) Wow, a video! "Sticks and Stones: Hockey's Greatest Fights." Thanks!
Joey: You're welcome. Just be sure to return it the store by 7, or they'll charge you for an extra day.
D.J.: There are things I could do with you that I could never do with Steve.
Kimmy: Like what?
D.J.: Like....talk about Steve.
Kimmy: Vicky! So that's why you flew in, for my birthday!
Vicky: Well, would I miss the 16th birthday of Miss Kimmy Gilbert?
Kimmy: Gibbler.
Vicky: Gibbler! Sorry. Jet lag.
D.J.: You wanna go back to your party?
Kimmy: Think there's any hash-brown cake left?
D.J.: Oh, I can pretty much guarantee it.
Steve: Yeah, D.J.'s incredible. Who else could've thrown all this together in fifteen minutes?
(D.J. has just given Kimmy the flowers that Steve brought her)
Kimmy: And there's a card. "I'm crazy about you, Sugar Lips."
Danny: Sugar Lips?
D.J.: Yeah, Kimmy. Um...remember when we were 11, and you ate that powdered donut and got sugar all over your lips?
Kimmy: No.
D.J.: Well, you did, and since then I've always meant to call you Sugar Lips.
Kimmy: Deej, that is so sweet... and weird.
Vicky: Come on, Kimmy will only be 16 once!
Danny: Yeah, but she'll be a sophomore twice.
During the end credits of the episode, there are flashbacks of D.J. and Kimmy from previous episodes.
This the only episode entirely devoted to Kimmy.
This episode originally aired on Jodie Sweetin's 11th birthday.
