i liked this episode because of that it had a good message but it's definetly in my opinion not full house at it's best in that season,i prefer episodes that have more surrounding in all the family not just one charachter(in this case joey).good episode as all full house eps though,i wouldn't skip it,i'd watch it if i felt like giving up on something that i really didn't want to.

Joey thinks he's not funny anymore. While there could have been more buildup - or at leaast mention of something liek his college tour not going as well as he'd hoped - the story in itself is awesome, a great story involving both he and D.J. about how its so important to keep trying even if you fail a few times.

I thought this episode was a good episode because it sent a message to everybody. That is do not give up your dreams just because its a hard and rocky road to get there. And as an adult you have to be aware of what you do in front of kids cause they pick up on what you do. Like DJ with Joey. I thik this was one of the better episodes.moreless

    • When Stephanie asks Joey to watch cartoons and says he is going to read the Wall Street Journal instead of going into the kitchen or upstairs, he walks towards the camera, off stage. I'm not sure why he walked that way, but on TV, there should be a wall there, but thats obviously where the TV cameras and audience is. Where was he going? Reply: He may have been going to the bathroom. Reading on the toilet is common in American homes. Edit
    • First (and only) appearance of the Emcee. However, his actor, Bruce Baum, will appear in two future episodes, but not as the same character. Edit
    • This episode has a brief cameo by magician, Ed Alonzo, who would go on to play Max in the series Saved By the Bell. Edit

    • Joey: I tried, and I failed. I'm just glad I figured this out now, and not when I'm 46. Edit
    • Jesse: (when baby Michelle won't dance with him and Danny) Obviously, you're feeling pretty secure about those chubby little legs of yours. Edit
    • Phyllis: I would love to stay and tell more jokes but I have dinner plans and my date is getting cold! (laughs) Edit
