Episode Summary

Stephanie and Gia manage to snag the attention of two gorgeous guys at the mall, who just happen to attend DJ's high school. After fabricating a bit about their ages and where they go to school, the girls get behind the wheel with Jason and Barry, who turn out to be very reckless drivers. Later that night, the guys show up at the Tanner house to take Stephanie on another ride, and because Danny is not aware of the situation, it's up to DJ to somehow protect her sister. Meanwhile, Michelle asks Jesse for help with her video game, then lives to regret it when all the adults in the family become overly obsessed and take over.moreless

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Great episode

I think that this episode was great because it taught us a good life lesson: never go on car rides that are dangerous. Good thing Stephanie never went on that car ride.
  • Don't ever go riding with people who drive like idiots because it's dangerous and you could get killed.

Stephanie and Gia got a ride home from two sixteen year olds named Barry and Jason who like to going joy riding. D.J. is the only one that knows that Stephanie went on a dangerous car ride and Stephanie wants to go with Gia and the boys again. D.J. tells her that it's not a good idea or she'll tell Danny. Stephanie becomes upset and she runs to her room. Danny tells her that he was on the phone with Gia's mom and Gia was in a car accident and she would be in the hospital. The two boys are alive, but one them has a broken leg and severe cuts. Today's lesson is you shouldn't go with people who drive crazy because it's dangerous. D.J. did the right thing by telling Stephanie not to go riding with people who drive like idiots.moreless
  • superb

Stephanie and Gia get two high school guys to give them a ride home from the mall, and the ride turns into a 'daredevil' esque thing, with the guys driving and behaving recklessly. Will Stephanie and Gia be OK?

Good episode. The main plot had some humor and a good message, the video game sub plot was kind of boring, over how everyone got so addicted to the game. But I liked the message of the main plot, about the dangers of hitchhiking, it was handled well, and so overall my final grade for the episode will fall in the "A-" range. Not the best ever but it was really goodmoreless
  • A really good episode with a message.

Stephanie's Wild Ride is about Stephanie and Gia, her friend, meet two older boys at the mall. The boys ask Stephanie and Gia if they want a ride home, and they say yes. But it turns out that the boy that drives is a very crazy driver. He drove on the wrong side of the road, almost crashing into a large truck. Later on at night, Stephanie asks if she can go out with them and Danny says yes, but DJ says no because it's too dangerous. It turns out that DJ made Stephanie not go, so Stephanie is mad at DJ. But, she finds out that the 2 boys, and Gia, were in a car accident. Steph now thanks DJ.moreless
  • Informative! Sorry, I'd say more, but I'll just put all that in my review.

The guys driving the car were complete dorks. Driving on the left side of the road, when it's a two way road? What idiots! Especially when that eighteen wheeler was coming and they were this . . . wait, I can't show you how close it was because I'm talking over the Internet, but they were pretty close to have a two-car wreck, and a trailor. They were really closed to getting their goose cooked. It served Gia right to get back in that car with those crazy drivers and having a wreck! And those guys - they're so crazy, I don't know how to explain how crazy they are! Ugh! Well, on the other hand, this episode was informative, and, well, that's it. Bye!moreless

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Stephanie: Deej, forget it. There's no way you can make me stay.
      DJ: I'll tell Dad.
Stephanie: Okay, there's one way. I can't believe you would squeal on me!
DJ: I can't believe you would put me in this position!
Stephanie: What about all those times you snuck out and I never said a word?
DJ: That's different! This is dangerous!

    • Stephanie: I feel so guilty about lying to Dad. Maybe I should tell him.
DJ: He's gonna be pretty mad.
Stephanie: I know......which is why I think I'll go with telling him your hitchhiking story first!

    • Stephanie: We told these guys that we were 16, and they believed us. Don't blow it. Please?
DJ: Hey, go ahead. Have fun.
Kimmy: Wait a minute. What's in it for me?
Stephanie: Okay, um......I promise I won't make any cracks at you for a week.
      Kimmy: Deal! (they shake hands)
Stephanie: Oh, and by the way, Big Bird called. He wants his legs back.
      Kimmy: Hey!
Stephanie: Sorry, just had to get one more out of my system.

    • Gia: They're giving us a lift home.
Stephanie: Uh, Gia, I don't think I'm supposed to get in a car with people I don't know.
Gia: Steph, we know their names, their schools......we've been talking to them for at least three minutes! What more do you need to know?

    • Kimmy: Hey, you're the losers who drilled the peek hole in the girls locker-room.
Jason: You're the reason we plugged it up.
Kimmy: That hole works both ways, zit butt.

    • Stephanie: You hitchhiked? What are you, nuts? That's so dangerous!
DJ: Well, I know that now! But back then, I was young and stupid, like you.

    • Stephanie: Jason happens to be a great driver--he's had his license for almost 3 months!
DJ: And it never dawned on you that you could get hurt?
Stephanie: Come on, haven't you ever been 16?
      DJ: I have--you haven't, remember?

    • Stephanie: Deej, you'll never guess what happened--Jason and Barry gave us a ride home in their car!
DJ: You got in a car with Beavis and Butthead?

    • Michelle: At least I an tie my shoes.
Nicky : So what? We have velcro. (holds foot up)

  • NOTES (1)

    • Ironically, Marla Sokoloff (Gia) also appeared on a Season 2 episode of the long-running WB drama 7th Heaven, where her character was also injured in a car accident.
