Fun for the Money

Show Summary

Long-time game show announcer Johnny Olsen appeared on-camera in his early years, here as host of Fun For the Money, one of the first prime-time network game shows.
Loosely based on baseball, audience members performed various stunts for prizes.
Stefan Hatos, who later teamed with Monty Hall for the unforgettable Let's Make a Deal, created and produced this series for the small ABC-TV network. Johnny Olsen, who was working non-stop in New York radio and television, flew weekly to Chicago to host this program. The sponsor was Kleenex.
