Fur TV

Show Summary

Fur TV is a British sitcom about the residents of Furry Avenue, where people and puppets live side-by-side. The main characters are three puppet housemates - Lapeno, a diminutive but sauve ladies' man; the quiet, lazy, but loyal "Fat Ed", Eddie; and Mervin, a naive loser who's always having to be rescued by his friends. Fur TV won the BBC Greenlight Award for new comedy in 2003. The pilot aired on BBC2 in 2004, however MTV picked the show up and the brand new series premiered in 2008.

  • A furtive peak at Fur TV or just a windup.

I've been trying to watch whole episodes of this classic superior show and all I get are 90second clips on Youtube and nothing on here. Wrong country apparently. How can that be? It was made here in the UK. Why is it not repeated on MTV like everything else? or sold to another channel. It would get great viewing figures from word of mouth reccommendation had all of the episodes on my old Sky box but lost them when I upgraded argghhh and the new box isn't much better anyway. Whoever controls this kind of thing-show them all again, please please please....moreless
  • This show is proper funny in my opinion.

I think that this show is one of MTV ones best. It's about a smooth lady-loving brazilian puppet named Lapeno, and his buddys are Fat Ed, a fat, lazy and violent puppet and Mervin, a wimpy loser puppet who tosses over underwear catologues and animal mating. Ed and Mervin don't really get along, as Ed hates Mervin, but Mervin believes he is Ed's friend, while Lapeno is always stuck in the middle of the fights. At least every episode of Fur TV includes Ed beating up Mervin, Mervin masturbating alot, and Lapeno finding a new woman to bring home. It certainly is a great show.moreless
  • A really funny British comedy.

This was a great British comedy television series. As is normal with good television shows, this one did not last long enough. This is a show that I would suggest watching if you get the chance. Check the bargain bins at Wal-Mart, the online movies sites (Amazon.com and such) and all of the cable channels that run old shows. Nick at Nite and TV Land are great for theses kind of shows. They will even do a week long spot for shows that only had 6 or so episodes. Then you have your super stations. They run a bunch of old shows too. All in all a pretty good show that did not get a good enough chance. Sometimes it is a simple as the show it is up against. Look at Law & Order. It is one of the longest running shows on TV. They moved it to go up against Lost. After about 2 weeks of getting pounded in the ratings it was moved back to it's original time slot. Shows like this should be given more of an opportunity.moreless
