  • There's an ancient prediction that the world will end in 3012 so the Planet Express crew need to go to Mars to be safe

The Planet Express Crew deals with an ancient prediction that the world's end will occur in 3012. I thought that this was a great episode of "Futurama". I honestly didn't like it as much as the previous episode "The Bots and the Bees" but I still really liked it though. The premise is interesting and I thought it had well execution but I just found the episode to be pretty boring though and just seemed to drag. There was some awesome animation in this episode though but my problems with this episode was that it bored me and it drags to me at least, Leela kinda irritated me thinking Fry is bad luck and instead should be thankful to have a nice person like Fry so I found Leela kinda unlikeable here, and the gross out gag near the end of the episode with Fry pulling out Leela's arm and Leela pulling out Fry's arm was a little bit too much. Yes, I know this is a cartoon for teenagers and adults but this show doesn't really go too far with crude humor so that bugged me that they did that for some reason. Other than those problems, I did like the episode. I laughed at Fry trying to save his lucky pants near the beginning of the episode, Fry putting on grease to go through the hole, the twist that Mars was ending instead of Earth (didn't like Leela blamed Fry for that situation like Come on), and some more. It could've been a better episode but for the most part, it definitely wasn't a horrible episode and it was enjoyable at least. Overall, I will say this is a great episode of "Futurama" but not as good as the previous episode "The Bots and the Bees". 8/10
