The episode opens with Fry dreaming. His dream quickly turns into an underwear ad.
So the next day, he is talking with his friends who reveal that in the future they broadcast dreams through peoples dreams via gamma radiation. Inspired by these "dreams" they head off to the mall.
At the mall, Fry spots the briefs from his dream. When Fry goes to check out, he realizes he can't afford them. Meanwhile, Bender gets arrested for shoplifting. When they need to bail him out, money again becomes an issue; so Fry decides to withdraw money from his bank account.
At the bank, Fry realizes that his once small deposit of 93 cents has over a thousand years accumulated into 4.3 billion dollars!
So Fry lives the rich life; and while at a pizza joint, he realizes his favorite topping, anchovies, are now extinct. Apparently they were fished into extinction by Zoidberg's people.
Fry decides to buy back his old memories from the twentieth century. While at an auction he outbids Mom on the last unopened can of anchovies.
Back at Mom's headquarters, Mom has a meeting with her three sons. She reveals that the oil from anchovies could put her out of business. So she orders them to get Fry's PIN number, and reveals a video of him saying that it is the price of a cheese pizza and large soda where he used to work, Panucci's Pizza.
Back at Fry's place, he gets a knock at the door. It's Mom's three sons. They knock him to the floor and feed him tranquilizers.
Fry wakes up to one of the sons dressed as Mr. Panucci. He tells him it was all a dream and he is really in the twentieth century. Then Pamela Anderson walks in and orders a cheese pizza and a large soda. Fry replies with the price, $10.77.
Fry is again knocked out and awakens to his new stuff being repossessed. The checks bounced, and the only thing he has left is a can of anchovies that he only wants to share with his friends.
Nobody likes them except Fry and Zoidberg. Zoidberg eats everyone's leftovers, but he still wants more...
