In this and the future episode "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles," it is implied that Bender grew from an infant to an adult, however we know from the Season 3 episode "Bendless Love" that Bender was built in adult form.
One of Kif's babies has one eye, probably caused by Leela's dna.
Actually, if you look closely or pause the show while the tadpoles first start heading toward the ocean, you will notice that several of them have only one eye.
It is revealed that Zapp either wears a hairpiece or a really bad comb over.
Kif's home planet is revealed to be 'Amphibious 9.'
Kif has several pictures on his wall of Zoidberg giving Amy 'rabbit ears' with one claw.
Leela has a 'pair' of glasses with one lens laying on the book next to her bed. Leela was seen with a 'pair' of glasses when she was younger and had braces.
Fry speaks only three times in this episode.
Atilla calls Zap's ship a 'space canoe', but canoes didn't exist in ancient Rome or the Germanic territories.
In a side of the big jar containing the Tea of the New Life, there was a tea bag.
Pub Name: O' ZORGNAX'S PUB; We believe any I.D.
Leela's Book: GREAT MACHETE BATTLES.
Two of the tadpoles collide, suggesting some of them inherited Amy's "klutzy" DNA from Amy grabbing Kif's face during the fiasco. We also see a one-eyed tadpole from Leela's DNA.

Zoidberg flies out of the chamber, but we never saw him inside to begin with.
Kif can walk on ceilings, even when wearing boots and gloves? Either a goof, or he has special issued clothes.
They suspect Fry as one of the "man-moms" but if you put slow motion on in the scene where Kif is about be sucked into space you can see that he never actually touched Fry, only his pants.
Where the hell did we get the Angry Dome, and where does it go? Is it retractable?
Kif says that he got pregnant because he was in love and his skin became a membrane which allowed DNA to be absorbed through. However, Amy and Kif have kissed and touched several times, almost all of which he said he was in love (the one possible exception is when they first kiss onboard the Titanic). If that's the case, why has Kif only gotten pregnant now?
In the scene after Zapp blasts a hole in the hull of the Nimbus, where everyone is in the medical wing, Kif's glove that was pulled off in the previous scene, reappears and disappears repeatedly from shot to shot.
Evil Lincoln is sucked out the hole and is seen in the next shot with the others.
Leela gives Kif the basket she was abandoned in at the orphanage. However in Leela's Homeworld, Warden Vogel just threw the basket on a pile of other, identical baskets, so how could Leela know which one was hers?
Kif: Oh it's a picnic basket.
Leela: That basket is very special to me, it's the one I was left in at the orphinarium
Hermes: You can use it for a picnic basket!
Zapp: Spare me your space age techno babble Atilla the Hun!
Zapp: Lieutenant, some things came off me and clogged the drain and... oh what do we have here? (looking at Leela in the monitor)
Leela: What was that, you're breaking up?
Bender: Way to go, squishy!
Grand Midwife: Now turn ye to and gaze deeply into each other's eyes.
(Kif looks at Bender)
Bender: What are you looking at?
Kif: As long as Amy is with me in my heart I will have the strength of two. Apparently Amy hasn't been working out much lately.
Kif: Behold! The sacred ancestral birthing grounds of my family.
Zapp: Smells like a jockstrap!
Bender: Hey, what's this fat ugly thing? A frog? A toad? Or your momma!
Kif: I must now embark on a perilous journey to give birth in precisely the same swamp in which I was born.
Leela: If it's so dangerous, I'd better go with you. A gal has to protect her DNA.
Kif: You all brought such wonderful gifts. But the greatest gift...
Bender: It's my booties from when I was a kid.
Amy: Uh, they're already bronzed.
Bender: They are bronze.
Fry: Check it out, y'all. Everyone we invited is here.
Zoidberg: Also Zoidberg!
Fry: You know, my face was stuck in a pizza.
Zapp: Ah, my home away from home. By the way, Kif, your flush seemed to be set on stun, not kill.
Fry: Dude, hold up. Remember when Zapp blew a hole in the ship?
Evil Lincoln: Indeed.
Kif: Imagine you stowing away and stealing a licensed starship! Oh, it's so romantic it gives me the shivers!
Amy: I don't care how much trouble I get in. I needed to feel my lips pressed against your lipless beak.
Zapp: Kif, I'm sensing a very sensual disturbance in the force. Prepare for ship-to-ship intimacy!
Amy: Why didn't you just leave a message, sweetie?
Kif (on screen): Well, um, I've left hundreds of messages with your answering machine but you never seem to get them.
Amy (shouting): Bender!
Bender: Not my fault if you don't check me!
Kif: (on screen) Ooh, Amy, you're back. Another hour and I would have thought about hanging up.
Kif: Well we've given them a great start Amy. And in 20 years they'll sprout legs and crawl back onto land as children.
Amy: And I'll be ready then.
Leela: There goes my DNA. What a disgusting and beautiful process.
Fry: That's birth for you.
Kif: Amy! Is it you or have I gone crazy with lonliness?
Midwife: As the tea boils please join hands with your beloved smizmar... Oh right sorry, but I memorised the ceremony by heart and it mentions her a lot.
Kif: I'll try to endure.
Midwife: Good 'cause I'm not changing it.
Midwife: As it is written and both shall lift the jug together. Where is your smizmar?
Kif: She's not with me.
Midwife: Oh the sorrow. Oh the shame. I'm sorry I'm probably just making you feel worse.
Kif: And soon, the quivvering mass of life within me will depend on us both. Even now I can sense it feeding, squirming, searching, questing and shortly, it will wren my loins into way and pull us down, down, down into the deep dark waters of commitment.
Zoidberg: That's so beautiful!
Kif: Please captain. I thank Leela for the DNA she gave me but in my species, the true parent is the one that inspired the initial feeling of love. We call that person the smizmar. And my smizmar is Amy.
Zapp: So the toilet seat is like the uncle or something?
Kif: Leela must have impregnated me when she grabbed my ungloved hand. That explains the poster in hygiene class: No Glove, No Love.
Farnsworth: Good. Fry's ejection indicates that he is not the man-mom. Nor is Captain Brannigan.
Kif: Oh thank you merciful God!
Farnsworth: Even I laughed at me when I built this alien cross species genetic analyser but I guess I showed myself! Subjects, please enter the chamber... Now to take a DNA sample. When I pull this switch the maternifuge will spin at 10,000 RPM, seperating out everyone who isn't the mother... father... whatever.
Zapp: Look, I'm sure we're all a little unclear on how anyone gets pregnant. So Kif, pray explain. And don't spare the dirty words where appropriate.
Kif: Well it's quite simple really. When one of my species experiences deep feelings of love we enter a so called "receptive state."
Zapp: You disgust me! Go on.
Kif: The Holo-Shed's on the fritz again, the characters turned real!
Zapp: Damn. The last time that happened I got slapped with three paternity suits.
Kif: Amy, isn't it wonderful? I'm pregnant!
Amy: Yes it's...great. A great miracle.
Leela: And not one of those bogus everyday miracles like a sunrise. Aren't you a male?
Bender: Yeah what's the deal? Just when I thought I'd figured out you biological creatures, its something else! Lemme at 'im!
Doctor: Well, except for a few broken bones, some internal hemoraging and a partially barfed up heart, everyone appears fine. Oh and Kif is preganant.
Kif: And there's Professor Moriarty, Jack The Ripper, Evil Lincoln!
Moriarty: Right-o gents it's another simulation gone mad so murder and mayhem, standard procedure!
Jack The Ripper: Rampage!!
Evil Lincoln: Real hologram simulated Evil Lincoln is back!!
Amy: Spirit! Kif! That's the pony I always wanted but my parents said I had too many ponies already!
Kif: This is the Holo-Shed. It can simulate anything you desire, and nothing can hurt you. Except when it malfunctions and the holograms become real.
Zapp: How 'bout I help you finish that dream you were having about me?
Leela: OK, I was just at this part: Heyya!
She punches him and he falls off the bed.
Zapp: Uh, let's try that a little lower and a lot softer!
Amy: You're going to Nigel 7? Kif's on patrol near there! You could drop me off on the way!
Farnsworth: We could but we won't! It's a spaceship dammit not a prom limousine! If anyone needs me I'll be in the Angry Dome.
Kif: I can't believe Amy left me! When will women take responsibility for the life they help create?!?
Amy: Mom, Dad, I know this is weird but -
Mrs Wong: Yeah yeah, we don't care how squishy alien get pregnant. All we care is we have grandchild now.
Kif: You're very open-minded Mrs Wong.
Mr Wong: Hey! You call her grandma now!
Mrs Wong: Call me grandma like crazy! All the time!
Zapp: (After The Holoshed incident) After all that I could use some relaxation. I'll be in the HoloShed.
The doctor on the Nimbus, who is reminiscent of Dr. Bones McCoy from Star Trek, is named Veins, according to one of the deleted scenes available on the DVD.
This is the first episode of Production Season 4.
The third act of the show was DRAMATICALLY cut down. Several scenes were deleted from the script, and even more were deleted from the animatic. The scenes that made it to animation but were deleted can be found on the Season 4 DVD.
It took staff members 40+ hours to find footage from the cartoon Casper of someone jumping out of their pants to match Zapp's line.
There was a shot of Kif's babies between his legs that never made it to air in the Fox broadcast. Adult Swim's broadcast shows this shot. There was a more disgusting shot, but it never made it to animation.
The episode's title is an allusion to Food Network's Emeril Lagasse's famous catch phrase "kick it up a notch!"
The design of the Professor's 'maternity test' is taken directly from the amusement park ride known as the Rotor, made by Chance Rides.
The medical officer aboard the Nimbus resembles Star Trek's Dr. McCoy in both physical appearance and voice.
Lincoln and Moriarty, two characters in the episode, have appeared in Star Trek episodes. Lincoln, in Star Trek's The Savage Curtain, and Moriarty in The Next Generation's Elementary, Dear Data as well as Ship in a Bottle.
Medical Sign:... And Horta Burn Ward
The Horta was a villain from the original Star Trek that would burn you with an acid spit.
The Angry Dome
Seeing the Angry Dome was a tribute to the "Cone Of Silence" from Get Smart.
You Only Live Twice
The way that the Planet Express Ship is taken onboard the Nimbus is very similar to the way the space-crafts are taken in the James Bond film You Only Live Twice. Many fans have mistaken the reference for another Bond film... Moonraker.
Leela and Nibbler hibernating in her bedroom looks like Ripley in stasis with her cat in Alien
Ship Medic: Oh, and Kif is pregnant.
Kif gets pregnant just like the Drac did in the movie Enemy Mine.
Kif: Nothing can hurt us, except when it breaks down and the holograms become real...
The holoshed is clearly a reference to the holodeck from Star Trek: TNG onwards. That also has a tendency to malfunction and leave the crew at the mercy of evil killer holograms.
