After a series of mishaps, Fry decides to go down to the ruins of Old New York and find his lucky charm - a seven-leaf clover. During the episode, we see several flashbacks of Fry as a child with his older brother Yancy. Yancy does not appear to care for his brother Philip very much and rips off Philip's ideas.
In Old New York, Fry spots a statue (with the clover in its lapel) that reads "Philip J. Fry- The First Person On Mars." The statue appears to be modeled after his brother Yancy, so Fry can only assume that his brother took the clover and started using Fry's name upon becoming famous.
Fry, Bender and Leela travel to Philip J. Fry's grave to recover the clover, but another flashback and a tombstone inscription reveals the whole truth: The famous Philip J. Fry is actually Yancy's son, who was named after his long-lost uncle because Yancy loved and missed his brother very much. Touched, Fry leaves the clover in the grave.
