I love this Gundam series. It's very different in terms of plot and character development. The plot about Gundam fighters from different countries fighting each other is a breath of fresh air to repetitive plots about Gundam federations and space colonies against Zeon. I remember this cartoon had a very, very brief on Cartoon Network, but gladly you can see this on the internet and other outlets.

In the pilot, we are introduced to the characters and story of the series. We meet Domon a Gundam fighter and see his personality. He is definitely no pacifist. When a couple of thugs pick a fight with him, he responds by kicking their butts. He befriends a couple of poor children.

He then meets another Gundam fighter, but unlike Domon, he is not a good guy. They fight and we learn the back story about the Gundam tournaments deciding what country will govern over the colonies.

This series I read was done to also commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of the franchise. The tone and style of this series is darker. The quality is still the same. The Gundams are well designed and fights are entertaining.

I like the different plot line about the Gundam fights. Every fighter brings their own personality in each episode, so it would the series anything but predictable. Even the way the pilots operate the Gundams are a bit different. Each Gundam has a different look and weapons, and the fights take place at different places on Earth. I like the series. I think this pilot does a great job of producing the series to come.moreless
