Halloween at G4
November Games to Look 4
It's almost time for the Christmas season, and with that comes a rush of game releases in November. November is the busiest month for game releases. Laura, Tina and Geoff give you the three games you shouldn't miss during the holiday shopping rush.
Laura - Peter Jackson's King Kong (Xbox 360)
Done by the same dude who did Beyond Good and Evil and is going to be on 9 platforms. You begin as protagonist Jeff as he fights his way through the jungle - First Person Shooter like. You feel like you are really small and weak in perspective to these huge backgrounds and animals you must fight against. Then as Kong, it turns into a regular fighting game. The unique feature to the game is that there is no on-screen health display that shows you how much of a beat down you've been taking. This allows you to really become emersed into the game. When you take too much damage, your vision becomes blurry and you can hear your heart racing faster.
Geoff - The Path of Neo (PS2)
It's all about the Neo in this game, since you haven't been able to play him in the previous games. This game takes Neo through all three movies. The gameplay is similar to God of War and even has a brand new ending to the game, since the movie ended...well, you know.
Tina - Guitar Hero
Tina gets Laura to display the game that people are playing all over the G4 studio, Guitar Hero. Now everyone can be their own rock star. The controller is a guitar with a whammy bar and keys in the handle. You have to match the keys given on screen to the keys on the handle (much like Parappa the Rappa). Tina and Laura rock out to Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' I Love Rock & Roll. The game is very addictive and has not only a great track list but it has the entire songs on it , not just clips. You can even create your own character to play in a number of environments.
