A "prequel" of sorts to the classic Inspector Gadget, that fails to entertain with dodgy plots and in general, complete idiocy.

"Bad"
As you probably would know from watching "Inspector Gadget" this show is a Spin-off of that show, in which this shows Inspector Gadgets Childhood with his fellow work mates, Agent Heather (likewise to his neice Penny, later on in life) G-9 (The robotic dog who is like Brains later on in his life again), Gabbel the genius who is somehow a complete idiot and Cheif Stromboli or something, who pretty much gets blown up every episode by some means, much like Gadget's employer in "Inspector Gadget"
All these references are quite well and good but they end there and that doesn't save the show from being bad.
Unlike the main villian of Inspector Gadget, Dr Claw, this shows main villian is the evil Spidra, a women who's identity is completely concealed due to her freakish looks that'll turn you to stone, much like Medusa, and of course, she has six arms for the sake of being a spider.
Her identity isn't really a secret, unlike Dr Claw, you pretty much do see her in public, she frequently encounters Gadget Boy, and she only has 2 henchman and a sidekick.
At that, she isn't a very good villian, her henchman are of no use, so often they disguise themselves to capture Gadget Boy or etc, the disguises never work there's never a doubt it's them, but it doesn't matter, since there isn't an ounce of intelligence in Gadget Boy anyway.
And then there's her "Side kick" Boris the Vulture. (A Spider and a Vulture??)
He's pretty much there to be beaten up by Spidra whenever he makes a small comment, he just takes it, and there's pretty much nothing stopping him from leaving.
As I earlier mentioned, Gadget Boy is a complete idiot, and seriously, no common sense.
Inspector Gadget might've been a bit stupid in adult hood and as a child of course Gadget boy isn't gonna be any smarter, but this is TOO MUCH.
As a matter of fact, almost everyone is an idiot, examples?
1. Gadget boy doesn't even get things when they're explained to him, for example, he's told you don't fall upside down in Australia, a mistake I can understand someone making at his age, but he NEVER learns, at all.
2. Gabbel, the guy who makes all the gadgets for Gadgetboy, and infact the creator of Gadgetboy and other "Gabbelventions" dispite being able to make fully functional robots with human intelligence (yet the inability to learn), rockets and lifelike dolls that can be programmed to function identical to their bearer with a download of their mind cannot figure out when someone is impersonating someone.
What do I mean?
In one episode, Spidra for whatever reason impersonates Agent Heather in an attempt to get an ice beam (wth?)
Even when he can clearly see "Agent Heather" has 6 arms and is wearing the same outfit as Spidra he suspects nothing, even when he hears her voice which is clearly Spidra's voice, he suspects nothing.
Even when he gets a phonecall from the real agent heather whilst being driven in a stolen car by the imposter he suspects nothing, complete idiocy is rampent in this show and destroys anything called a "plot".
At that the voices aren't the best, everything is a bit cartoony and out of place, as for the musical theme, it feels nothing like Inspector Gadget, and animation is mediocre, if not acceptable at least.
All in all, this is a show to avoid like the plague, chances are if you see this, it'll be in the UK on Cartoon Network at 2AM for a 3 hour marathon of pure garbage. (As apposed to America's Adult Swim at late night.)
Just leave this show alone, it's bad enough that everyone's an idiot. (Except for the famous people in history at least.)
