Haha, even the credits have depth. It reminds me of Little Big Planet.

I have a question about Arya, I don't see why they would let her train with the sword I mean she's a female in a medieval time story. Excellent show btw, little to much nudity but its an HBO show so that's not a surprise really, I'm probably going have to read the books.

Well, I suppose it's up to the father to let or not let girls do anything. I mean, the parents arrange their children's marriages and everything. Ned was fine with Arya training and he got a master who'd be fine with training her. But I'm guessing it's still very frowned upon, there was a reason Jon Snow told her to hide the sword and not show it to anyone.

I like it as coming of age story, it keeps evolving all the time: you think it's an heroic tale for Ned, a romantic tale for Daenerys, an action adventure tale for Jon & Rob, a politic thriller from the Lannister perspective, a supernatural tale of dragons and zombies and, finally, we realize its a coming of age story for each of the 5 Stark children and the bastard son.

I like the idea of a story that's agrowing at the same time as its protagonist and its nice to see a little bit of Ned in each and every one of them.

    I'll come back next season.

@skidrow6, a small amount of intelligence is required to process the story, keep working on it. :/

I think "Conquest of Power" is an alternative title for this freakin awesome series . Every season is a clifhanger of something much bigger , every episode is a piece of something far more complex and subtle than the mere eye could see . It's just brilliant . Congrats to the author , writers of the show , producers , crew and cast . Hands down best show since Twin Peaks, or Star Trek They're very different shows but the worlds and intrigues , characters fleshed out and good writing just makes you think maybe the world of media does want us to see something in ourselves , not what they want us to see (crap mostly) . It's a fable of sorts ... with the most important morale of all : You do it for the people or ys ou do it for yourself, and that's the duality every character fights against.

Even reading the books it was difficult to follow all the named characters in the books, I always alt tabbed tot he westeros wiki to reread who the person was, etc ... int he series the introductions are even more brief. Can only suggest reading the first 3 books, since they provide a much deeper experience ... much much deeper. There is just more awesomeness, especialyl with Tyrion, etc...

So far the series is ok, I like it, the only thing I despise is Asha Greyjoy ... She has been renamed and she is an ugly wrench, while in the books she was quite beautiful and men were trying to hit on her ... she also had some charme to her and yeah, when I see the actress I want to run away ... really don't want to see her at all.

Arya is wild and unladylike throughout the books ... more a boy than a girl. It is much more detailed in the books.

Her aunt died because she had the same fierceness of character, but lacked of the "manly" skills to fight the men who kidnapped - and ultimately killed - her, so her father let Arya learn those skills in part to protect her and in part to honor her aunt's memory.

The irony being Arya is now using those very skills to help the bastard son of the man who was in love with her aunt before she was taken.

I am assuming you are meaning Gendry.

Anyways, love the TV show so far. Could use a little less sex scenes, especially the added ones that are not in the books in the first place, but since its HBO... Despite that, its still one of the best TV show, still in awe that we have come this far in TV quality! The abundance and richness in characters is what drives this awesome show!

Robb is far better in the TV show than in the books!

There aren't any other bastards left, Joffrey ordered to kill all of Gendry's siblings in the season premiere. The only reason he didn't die that day was because Yoren recruited him and Arya lied to protect him later on.

If there's only 10 eps they better pick up the pace. Even though they left some stuff out, it still seems to be dragging. There should be more fighting at least small scale skirmishes and confrontations, considering all thats supposed to be taking place. Robb's war, the brotherhood's hunt for 'The Mountain' and The Gold Cloaks "bastard quest". It seems they want to show Hot Pie and Arya's service under Tywin. Renly's banners will probably rejoin Stannis this eve.
