It's one of the best programs on TV today. I love that it's very graphic and hope other TV programs follow suite. This is not a children show. I wish I could buy a wall size map so I could follow the progress of the characters and help me keep the story lines in order. I can hardly wait until the next installment.
The season 3 episode 9 final scenes were absolutely shocking and extremely heart-wrenching to watch; not having read the books I didn't see this coming at all; but while it was excruciatingly painful for me to witness the demise of characters that I'd become so attached to, it was impossible to look away from the screen. This show is just so mesmerizing. Now I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to the younger Starks and the rise of the Khalesi.
I can't say enough goods things about this show. All writers should really take note of this shows success. Of course reading the books is a must but wow last episode was so shocking that I was really happy I hadn't read the books yet. I might just save them for after its just too exciting right now. And yo why isnt the rating higher, it should be at a 9.5 or higher. Best show on TV right now by far.
What was that!?! I'm generally watching the doing other heard moans, groans, and yelling! The last think I remember was Mama Stark giving a slight approving smirk at Big Brother Stark and his prego just could not believe the savage way the episode ended! I love it because am SO HUNGRY for the finale that I can't stand it! How will they top this? Who will take young Stark boy or Snow? gonna after I'm finished morning episode 9.
happened to what's his face after he was carried off to his love nest and they guy that said he was going to "find a tree to piss on?"
Sorry about the name am HORRIBLE at remembering them!
I'm a VFX Artist and a story lover. I've seen many plots that goes with Game of Thrones. All may be look same but this story stands alone. It seems to be a typical story of some fights for a Throne. But, the way of telling the story is mesmerizing. Very neat plot, very clean cinematography, perfect direction, mind blowing music especially the main theme, story board flawless, set and props are stunning, well edited, costume and make-up almost believable. locations are reasonable, actors are living inside the roles. VFX is clean, eye catchy and blended with footage but not perfect for me. VFX brothers and sisters missed some green screen parts (ex: when Tyrion was pulled by Bronn when he awakes frfom his black out at the war of 2000 . script can be better than this. Some times I have no idea what are they speaking about and who fucked who or whose brother killed who. There are some mistakes but, Epic, Nice and Clean story. Even nudity is not concerning when Dragon lady appears with Dragons in the end of 1st season. Nicely done and i love the series. I'm happy that these kind of talents still exist !
Impending extinction level event takes us to the medieval land of Westeros, where Ned Stark's 6 children are scattered through the realm, before the mother of 5 of them could say good bye and the father'd become the first casualty in a war that's only starting.
Rival family Lannister loses a key member, not to the King in the North, but to Brienne of Tarth. The mother's sworn knight and, perhaps, the only woman capable to unravel the Ser within a Kingslayer. The only person who knows the true madness that aflicted Daenerys's father. Same madness that destroys Daenery's brother, long before she starts her path to the throne.
Pretenders come and go as winter closes around them. Distracted by war, the tragedy that befalls in every corner and the unbearable loss of one another, the remaining Starks can't see the real danger quite like their bastard brother across the Wall; the creatures known as White Walkers.
It just continues being like one long medley of all the boring (politics) bits from Star Wars - on and on and on. Lets have less self-importance, more action, more 3d dialogue, a broader range of human (or game-of-thronians) emotions. The premise is really interesting and Tyrion and Jaime Lannister lift it overall, but you can do even better.
As for my opnion, the story does seem slow, no doubt, but there's also so much build up in Game of Thrones and the constant flow of new characters each season also seems to take alot of time, which is both fine and anoying, since we'd like to see some action, on the other hand we dont wanna end up with writer's basicly re-writing the story like 'True Blood'.
Overall im satisfied with Game of Thrones, but there's alot happening and the episodes are as always, far to short! :D
And the show has a sense of, quality, you just dont see in other shows. :)
Start off by say I love this show but for someone that read the books they need to pick up the pace. There are three more episodes for the season and alot more story to go or are they splitting the book into two seasons???????
As a HUGE fan of "A Song of Ice and Fire" I was extremely skeptical when I began watching this series even though HBO has a solid track record with their "original" programming. HBO has managed to blow away my wildest dreams for this adaptation. This series has brought the Seven Kingdoms to life in a way I thought impossible. This series is the new gold standard of adapting a series of novels into a television show. The novels and series should be required reading/watching for anyone planning to adapt a novel into a show/movie. Well played played.
Just started watching this a month ago, and got to episode 6 of season 3, and I cant wait till it comes out. I dnt like waiting hahaha HBO GO needs to just put out the whole season now! Love the schemes, the plot and everything, the cast and crew. fun show, excited to see what happens next
