  • Well, it all starts with their first mission. They think it's easy at the beginning, but then...

    9.0
They are told why they are kept in the house and what is their first mission. They have to kill an alien which looks like an onion and eats onion. They get the guns and see they have on hour to do it so they get "teleported" outside and start looking for the alien. They find a child-sized alien and they literally torture it. It ends up in pieces. The thing they didn't expect was that the father of the small alien came and saw what happened. So he wants some revenge. And that's where some serious killing starts... Hope you'll enjoy it :)moreless
  • It doesn't get better quite yet.

    1.5
The second episode introduces the game, the sphere, and two more important characters - Nishi Joichiro, and Kishimoto Kei. There are others, but they don't last long enough for them to be worth anything.

I watched this episode in hopes that it would improve, but was sadly disappointed. Kishimoto, the only girl in the room, gets transported into Kei's arms totally naked. Being the kind of guy that Kei is he just starts kissing her, until one of the Yakuza thugs decides to drag her into the hallway to rape her. Again, the series shows that none of the people in Gantz's world wishes to involve themselves in conflict as Kishimoto cries out for help and no one jumps to her rescue, except for Katou who once again goes to the rescue.

After watching this episode I didn't feel any more love for Kurono and hoped that his internal whining would cease one way or the other. He whines because he doesn't like how Nishi looks at him, he whines because Kishimoto doesn't profusely thank him for just stupidly watching Katou threaten the thug. The episode made me feel no better for the world that Kurono lives in wishing some ill fate would take them all.moreless
