  • Goliath and friends end up in Ishimura, Japan. They meet a clan of gargoyles and stay the day with them in stone sleep. When they awaken, they are in a gargoyle theme park. Who put them there? And why did their human friends not stop the ones responsible?moreless

I like this episode. I think this is one of the better episodes during the world tour. I really like the new gargoyles that are met in Ishimura. Their design is very different from Goliath and his clan. I also like the idea that humans and gargoyles are living in peace together in this town. It shows that not all humans in the past betrayed gargoyles. Again, we meet a character who would appear in a spin-off called "Bad Guys". The gargoyle, Yama, is banished from his clan after this episode for helping Taro. His story continues in the spin-off.moreless

    • In the theme park Taro had built, you can see that Castle Wyvern is one of the structures.

    • In Greg's "Timedancer" spinoff, Brooklyn was to travel to 16th Century Ishimura, where he accidentally picks up samurai gargoyle Sata. Sata and Brooklyn became mates later, and she bore him fraternal twins, which in the TGS fanfics were named Graeme and Ariana.

    • This is the second episode you see Elisa in a different outfit, most notably a kimono.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Visual: Japanese Theme Park
One can't help but feel writer Gary Sperling is taking a jab or two at the Disney theme parks - either the miniaturized "Japan Pavilion" at Epcot Center in Florida, or Tokyo Disneyland, which opened in 1983.
