Trivia: The non-projectile gun Demona was using seemed to be one of the 37 missing Xanatos's guns that Owen mentioned in "Deadly Force."
Demona's rifle shouldn't turn to stone unless she considers it her possession, like her clothes -- which is unlikely.
The writer doesn't seem aware that the gargoyles revert to stone when the sun rises, as established by Greg Weisman. The sun's beams shining on the gargoyles are irrelevant, but here the gargoyles don't turn to stone until well after it has risen and it shines out from the clouds.
(in 984 A.D.)
Demona: (about Hudson) Perhaps it's time he stepped down. I've never seen him look so old.
Goliath: His age brings wisdom. That's why he leads.
Hudson: Give it up, girl! You can't win!
Demona: I'm stronger, faster, and younger than you! Your pride will cost you your life!
Hudson: Aye, but I know something you don't. Something that comes with age. (Demona pauses, looking confused) I know how to wait...
(The storm clouds clear, showing the sun from behind them)
Goliath: Don't be silly, old friend! There are years of fighting left in you.
Hudson (sarcastically): Now there's something to look forward to...
Goliath: You can't... face her.
Hudson: I can face her. I just can't beat her.
Lexington: What's for breakfast?
Broadway: I was thinking blintzes.
Demona: You can run, but you can't hide. In fact, you can't even run.
Goliath: You seem introspective, old friend. Are you all right?
Hudson: Just dreaming old dreams.
(In 984 A.D.)
Hudson: You shouldn't frighten the girl with threats of gargoyles, my liege. We would never harm a child.
This episode, along with "The Edge" is available on VHS as Gargoyles: Deeds Of Deception.
The Fugitive
The scene where Demona with a gun confronts Hudson on the edge of a sewage pipe that drops off into a collection pond, and Hudson dives off into the water instead, almost exactly parallels the scene from The Fugitive where Dr. Kimble (Harrison Ford) dives off when confronted by Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones).
