Recurring Role |
This is the second time Goliath loses control of his mind (the first time was in "Temptation").
Goliath: I... I failed.
Egon Pax: No, no, no, my friend. In the end, by choosing peace over violence, you have succeeded.
Goliath: Courage. Virtue. Struggling to do what is right. Gargoyles and humans want to believe that we are always in control, that we can aid our loved ones in any crisis. But there are times when life mocks our pride. That is when we learn humility, and that the greatest of our strengths is the simple will to persevere.
The animation of Brooklyn scratching the steel walls exclaiming "They're two feet thick!" is a reuse of a scene from "Generations."
Hudson, Bronx, and Angela don't appear in this episode.
The title of this episode is based on the famous Twilight Zone episode, "To Serve Man."
Plot:
The entire plot is reminscent of the book and movie the Manchurian Candidate. In which the vice president's son is brainwashed into killing the president thus making his daddy president.
