      • Star Trek: The Experience Gary and his "date" Lauren check out the Star Trek Hotel and Casino. This is a reference to Star Trek: The Experience, which is an attraction at the Las Vegas Hilton.

      • Casino There is a reference to the Martin Scorsese's Casino. This happens when Mike is threatened by having his head squeezed in a vice for card counting.

      • Apocalypse Now While in the bathroom trying to get over his nervousness, Gary imitates the famous opening scene of Apocalypse Now, complete with mirror stares and "kung fu" moves.

      • ... For Dummys At the begining of the episode, Mike has a book called Card Counting for Meatheads. Later in the episode Lauren the hooker is reading Advanced Hooking for Meatheads These are parodies of the For Dummys series of books.
