I will be the first to say that CBS has an underappreciated slate of comedies. You hear about cable shows and NBC's powerhouses, but Bang, Men, Rules and Gary really do not get the respect or praise they deserve.

That being said, this episode was an absolute train wreck. The show took about five steps back this week with a storyline about as immature and childish as possible. We saw Gary and Allison digress back to the early stages of their marriage by jumping into bed together. No wonder the executive producers left the show after this episode.

I watch a lot of TV, so maybe I didn't like this because I have seen this plot done to death before, but it just seemed like a such a disappointing way to end a surprisingly good season of Gary Unmarried.moreless

Gary Unmarried is definitely one of the shows to look for next season. It would be a shame if CBS cancels it. The season finale was laughter riot and a marked improvement from the earlier ones.

Ed Begley Jr. makes a short appearance and just creates a furor. Gary and Allison drop some nasty one liners and a lot of pun loaded ones. Mitch has also been a valuable addition to the guest cast and the part where he reasons out his decision to be the bartender just gave me the fits. Tom also had some really funny lines, but his role wasn't all that remarkable.

Nice way to end the season.moreless
