  • 201.

Gary Unmarried returned for its second season (surprising many critics, myself included, who believed it was destined to be cancelled) and improved greatly upon last year's dismal season finale. Jay Mohr, fresh off a guest appearance on Monk, was on top of his comedic game spitting so many good one-liners I thought he was Kevin James for a minute. It looks like Mitch (aka the pow guy from Step Brothers) is a full-time cast member now) which is a good thing as well.

I really wish they kept Ed Begley Jr. and now it looks like Al Madrigal might be gone too, but hey, what can you? This was still a solid start and Keegan Michael Key should be a welcome addition to the cast as well.moreless
  • Season 2 Opener

I am happy the show got picked for a sophomore run. It's not like the best comedy on TV, however it still figures as one of those feel good comedies. Jay Mohr again weaves his sarcasm magic and continues to produce corny one liners with Paula Marshall. The radio station idea was actually good, and for a sports fanatic like Gary, it was no brainer he would be a pro at hosting. Rob Riggle did have some good lines, screaming his war rhetoric at some kid. For a opener with no concrete storyline, this was really good.

With Ed Bedgley Jr., making more cameos, thing are only bound to get better.moreless
