Gary Unmarried gave us another great episode here. We saw Gary try the age-old getting the ex-wife's girlfriend married so he wouldn't have to pay alimony. This resulted in some great scenes, including Gary and Dennis discussing the plot with the latter revealing how he had previously been coaxed by Gary into taking stock options. Another standout scene saw the kids discussing the pros and cons of watching C-Span. Tom thought it would be better if you could vote somebody off with Louise saying you can "every two years". In classic sitcom fashion the plan didn't pan out as Dr. Krandall ended up calling off the engagement. We also saw Vanessa strongly suggest that Gary hasn't moved on from Allison.
Not the funniest episode with a little too much emphasis put on character development and not enough on jokes. It was still good, but I have a feeling the show can do better.moreless
