When Allison's new boyfriend Howard, who happens to be very wealthy, offers to take Louise and her friends to New York for her birthday, Gary gets in over his head and promises Louise an unrealistic gift.
  • A perfect Wednesday show...

Gary Unmarried may not find its rating skyrocket anytime soon. And of course, you don't expect people to flock the show, because the best guy you can get is SNL alumni Jay Mohr. And Jay Mohr is no Charlie Sheen or Steve Carrell; though he is quite funny he definitely ain't a marketable face.

Keegan Michael Key got a number of really really funny one liners this time. I would love to see him as a regular at the show, and might actually be a good replacement for Al Madrigal. I don't know, that might mean Gary painting the radio station all through this season. Mitch and Tom formed a really good team this time around.

Gary Unmarried is definitely funny, and all the characters sure do know how to make you laugh. I hope people start watching, or we might see a mid season or end season cancellation.moreless
  • Good episode.

    7.7
    "Good"
Gary Unmarried should not have been renewed last year based on its ratings, but despite what some critics and fans might say it is a pretty good comedy. The writing is solid, the characters are all funny, there are really no weak scenes and downpoints. The show is just good, old-fashioned family comedy done right (take note The War at Home, The Bill Engvall Show etc. etc.)

What is great about the program is how there are original storylines every episode, without being pretentious or trying to create the most dynamic episode ever. The show is funny, but can have emotional moments without trying to be too serious.moreless
