Well, that was odd to see Joe Torre just pop up like that. He looked like Bob Newhart, minus the comedic timing of course. If they hyped up his appearance a bit maybe the ratings for this show would not have been so dismal. This was a decent episode, but kind of down in quality from the average episode this year. Everything just felt a bit too cliched (a random appearance by Niecy Nash as Curtis' fiancee?) and the jokes felt more scripted than they usually are. Very little with the kids, who are probably among the best on TV today as well. They're much better than the kids on Modern Family, but then again everything about this show is better than Modern Family.
