  • Entertaining episode. Loved the photo snap shots.

I finally got to watch this episode in its entirety. The family take a trip to London for Nick's eighteenth birthday. Even though they had this young record label tour guy setting up publicity events, the trip turned out to be pretty impressive. I really enjoyed the snap shots of the family walking around town, especially the one across the Abbey Road cross walk. When Nick and Gene went to the studio and played guitar together - that was really awesome. Gene has such great kids. Watching some of these newer episodes makes me reconsider my early claims that the show is boring - if that make any sense.moreless
  • Beatles fan, 18th birthday celebration, London tour

This episode is hot, especially if you know that Gene is a hardcore Beatles fan. He and the family go to London to celebrate Nick's birthday, but we get to see more of Gene's experience doing interviews. We get to hear some of Nick's guitar which has a heavier sound that I liked. I still get blown away that Sophie is only 14, as we find out when an English photographer asks to get pictures of her. She has a strong sense of what her father is living and responds quite appropriately. Shannon is a lady here and still lets people know when she has had enough.moreless
