All I can say is poor Nick getting stuck at a tween's birthday party. I felt so bad for him but you can't tell me some of that "drama" wasn't created for the cameras. Because no "tween" I know would be caught dead in a birthday hat. Now onto Shannon and Tracy's concoctions. OMG that was silly. I want to know how much extra Gene's partner was paid to do that. Great ideas just wished they had check with Gene's doctors first. Gene allergic reaction was perfect. The coming out party with the golden tongue award was so classic Gene.moreless

Great episode. Nick at the charity event is priceless, Gene with his ski mask is so funny.

"Perfect"

Nick's reaction when he goes into the limousine filled with over half a dozen 12 years old girls is great, being with kids doing roller blade, then eating a cake with his face on it is just great. At the same time the mother of the girl acts like a real jerk. Gene's great as usual, even without talking he's so funny, rolling around the house on his Segway. Shannon and her sister are mixing lots of strange things to help Gene's face heal faster. He can finally go to the Adult video award (or something like this) to receive the gold Tongue award and he reveals his face there. It's the first time we see him after the face lift.moreless

The entire episode you are left in the dark as Gene is literally in the dark behind a black ski mask and does little talking. It's well worth it as the final reveal is astonishing!moreless

"Superb"

As straight-laced a background that I come from I often wonder how it is that I have fallen in love with Genie and his family. Unlike most reality television shows the love of the family always comes through as they find ways to play pranks on one another and yet still makes it appear that their life is unscripted. In the 16,500 square foot house you still get the feeling that its a well lived in and loved home. In this particular episode Gene is unable to make so of his work obligations and gets his son, Nick to go on a date for charity. One can't help but to feel the smile creep on one's face as you know that something very comical is going to happen. Indeed as the date turns into being the primary attraction at a teenager's birthday party. The continued story line of Gene not paying attention to doctor's orders is still funny as Shanon and her sister try home remedies to get the swelling down only to have him break out in hives. In the end it's a 'fine example' of the show as the episode is never as long as you want it to be and Gene finds a way of surprising you. His face lift is awesome!moreless
