  • Rex goes to rescue some providence soldiers from a......bunny? Yeah, a bunny, you heard me. This bunny's got a bone to pick with Rex too, and he's gotta deal with it while taking Noah and two girls to the prom on a double date.moreless

First of, this is another *shivers* filler, ugh, all who have read my reviews know I don't like fillers, but even I must give credit where credit is due, this episode had it's fuuny moments. Those moments are the only thing keeping me from giving this episode a 4,3, or 2.

First off, the prom cliche was introduced into this episode. Yeah, i've seen this before. A not so average kid tries to do an average thing that kids do, and things go wrong when his/her extrordinary life kicks him/her in the butt while he/she is doing his/her thing. I thought that Generator Rex was above this cliche, but as much as I don't like it, there were a few things that made it ok.

First thing was the mutant bunny. When I saw all the providence soldiers injured and a tank turned sideways you think one of two things. 1: "Wow! What happened?..." or 2: "Dang, what kind of evo can do THAT?!" and personally I was thinking 1. Then when you see what caused it, it's a bunny.... yes... a bunny... but not just any bunny! It's an evo bunny. An evo bunny that suprisingly kicks the fudge outta Rex each time it shows up.

The 2nd thing was Rex's clumsy date. Seriously, this date of Rexs is a huge wreck. I tried to count the times that she almosted killed Rex accidently in the entire episode... and I lost count half way through.... These two things are the only things that are giving this episode a 6 in my book, if not for these, I wouldn't favor this episode.

In other words, for a filler, it was funny, yet pointless.moreless
  • Right off the bat, we are introduced with a new character, a giant bunny zombie-like EVO that holds a grudge against Rex. Now Rex must fight off the giant bunny and go to prom as Noah's wingman.moreless

Honestly, this episode seems like, dare I say it, a filler. Yes a filler. And this, to me is a true filler. First off, it starts with Rex flying to a site where apparently a bunny has attacked some Providence soldiers. Yes, a bunny. How original. Well it did transform into a big, ugly bunny. And overall the plot wasn't really that great. The music was lacking, the fights were horrible, but it was possibly meant to be funny rather than serious. Still, I think there was a couple episode mix ups and they ended up making these bad episodes as a result just to fill in time. I hope they make better episodes soon. I give this an 8. Had it not been Generator Rex, I would've given it a 6.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Annie said she hurt her arm while texting on a motorcycle. In real life, her injuries would have been more serious, even fatal.

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Rex: Step on it, Bobo. Run every red light if you have to. Pretend you don't have a driver's license!
      Bobo: What's a driver's license?

    • Noah: Okay, there's something you should now about Annie.
Rex: She kills her dates? (Noah shrugs) Oh, you've got to be kidding me!
Noah: Every guy who's gone out with her has ended up in the hospital, or worse. They call her "the blonde widow".

    • Annie: Do you have a girlfriend?
Rex: Well, it's... complicated. She's in league with an evil dictator who wants to kill me.
Annie: I know what you mean. My dad's weird about me dating, too.

  • NOTES (3)

    • The rabbit EVO Rex fights throughout the episode is based on the Rabbit of Caerbannog from the British comedy movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Much like the protagonist of the movie, Rex dismisses the rabbit as harmless (among other things), only to realize the hard way that it is more deadly than it looks.
