Let me start with i like this show well so far it is just the frist EP but it kinda start off as if it was in the middle of the season not the first EP I get its part of the story is that he doesnt know who he is so it can be told later in the season but how about how the people got the nanos or the monkey BOBO or six i mean this at least a litttle but nothing but the action is great seems good enough to keep me watchin ! ! ! !moreless
  • A bit of Ben 10 and X-Men and what do you got? A series that's off to a great start.

I'm going to use one of my favorite expressions, Holy Smokes! That was great. Generator Rex has tremedous potential for being the best action/adventure show currently on TV. Rex's persona and powers are vaguely similar to Ben 10, another show created by the same people. I liked the X-Men stuff, these Bio's and the different groups or factions at war with one another. Van Kleiss is basically Magneto, I'm glad this episode left a lot of mysteries unanswered, what caused the accident? What does Van Kleiss want? What about Rex's past? I'm definitely sticking around for this show.

The action was great, little to no complaints there, some goofy sound effects when Noah and Bobo was fighting the Brotherhood, but what I loved was actually the rating, "PG". Yeah, that means we get some real freaky stuff, stuff I didn't think I would see in a cartoon since TMNT 2k3 ended. Necks are broken, people are sliced in half and then rebuilt bone by bone, tissue by tissue, Hollow Man-style. Also there's death here, I know Batman: The Brave and the Bold has it every now and then, but this one has mass death. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I appreciate the darker elements.

One thing I feared beforehand was Rex's attitude, and sure enough, there were some annoying moments in the beginning, but when the action stopped we got some time to understand him, and his feelings of alienation that helps soften his character a bit, so that he's not just in essence a wise crackin' weapon. The show's intro wasn't very good, because it's so brief, but that's a small quibble.

This episode was a great way to start what looks like it'll be a really cool series.moreless
  • A wonderful start to an awesome series. I was really excited about this series, and I was really bouncing off the walls the night of it's premiere, and the episode really lived up to all my hype.moreless

The episode starts off with Rex explaining where everything is at in the series so we don't have to go to the trouble of figuring it out. He explains that there was this huge explosion which infected everyone in the whole world with these microscopic machines called nanites, and that sometimes these nanites can malfunction and then they mutate anything they're inside. People, animals, plants, you name it. Although the episode's action really starts when this orgnization called Providence gets a call saying that there's an Evo lose. So they go to this city were a huge Evo is attacking everyone, and of course... who better to handle the situation than Rex?

I'd rather not tell you anything else, you'd have to watch the episode to find out anything more.moreless
