Show Summary

The Genius of Charles Darwin is a television documentary that is written and presented by evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins. Richard Dawkins is a famous evolutionary biologist known for his criticism against religion and for being a member of the Royal Society. The documentary is in three parts, each 45 minutes long. In the first section, "Life, Darwin & Everything", Dawkins explains Darwin and how he was able to develop his theory of natural selection. Dawkins also attempts to prove that the theory of natural selection is correct by fossil evidence. In the second section, "The Fifth Ape", Dawkins explains the consequences of Darwin's theory of natural selection such as Social Darwinism, and he explains why it is unjustified to blame Darwin's theory of natural selection as they are different ideas. And finally, in the third section, "God Strikes Back", Dawkins explains why Darwin's theory is one of the most controversial ideas in history, from the time the theory was first published to modern times.moreless
