At one point, while talking to the baseball rep, George mentions a little Mexican boy tied to a lemon tree, stating that it's a true story he'll tell when he knows the rep better. In the episode "George Watcha's Out for Jason", he also mentions the same story to Jason and Carmen.

Efren, Carmen's classmate is a boy, but in Home Sweet Homeschool, St. Theresa's school is said to be an all girl school.

The character of Efren, played by Efren Ramirez, is a direct parody of Ramirez's character Pedro Sanchez from the film Napoleon Dynamite. His "Don't Vote for Carmen" shirt is even a parody of the "Vote for Pedro" slogan---red text against a white background.

Apparently, Ernie has broken up his engagement with Tammy.

Ernie admits the events he witnessed from the episode "The Simple Life".

In this episode George and Angie's song is "Endless Love." In the season 2 episode "The Wedding Dance" their song was "Always And Forever."

Goof: When George goes to the fridge to get a drink, he takes it out of the freezer instead and it is not frozen.

It is implied in this episode that, if Max's braces are loosened too much, they could fall off, but that is not the truth; to "loosen" braces actually means to replace the wire with a more flexible one.

In the episode, Jason Tutors Max, George said the he would never be able to afford braces for Max because of his bills for Carmen's school, and even promises Carmen Max will never have braces. However that could have been a sarcastic remark.

Carmen says that she will be turning 16 on Saturday, but later, Angie said she's turning 16 on Friday.
