that shadow arm was absolutely creepy, and everything else about the episode was great.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Daryl Learn, one of the Fort Erie Docents, joins the GAC for part of the investigation as a "trigger object". Not only is he a costumed reenactor at the site, but he's a descendent of some of the men who fought in the bloody siege there on August 15, 1814.

    • Also Appearing:
Investigation: Old Fort Erie - Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada
Daryl Learn - Fort Erie Docent
      Kathryn Stark - Eyewitness
Sam Stark - Fort Erie Docent
Kate Feetham - Fort Erie Docent
Howard Beattie - Homeowner (Snake Hill burial ground)

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Daryl Learn: (telling Zak about the battle and the armaments) Now these guns were designed to kill men at over a mile. In fact, the smaller of the guns in British army testing at 600 hundred yards could pass through 19 people. In a row.
Zak: Whoa! Split right through them!
Daryl Learn: Now that's just how many they're going to hit directly. If you're struck in the chest- your chest is a cavity, you burst, your bone becomes shrapnel and can kill and wound men around you.
      Nick: Can you imagine that?!
Zak: So my pieces of my rib could go through Nick's forehead and kill him.
Daryl Learn: It could go into his throat, cut a vein or artery, and he'll be dead in a couple minutes.
Zak: You are a plethora of gory details! I've never heard from anybody's mouth before that a piece of my rib could kill another man.

    • PX Device: (held next to the Snake Hill exhibit with some soldiers' bones) Hit... war... yell... I'm here, hit... horrible... killed for it... here, here, kill...

    • Zak: We're using you kind of as a 'trigger object', not only because of your past, your ancestors, or length that you've been stationed at the Fort. But also because you've experienced stuff here before.
Daryl Learn: It's a fancy way of calling me 'live bait'.

    • EVP: He's up there.

    • Kate Feetham: We have a lot of complaints from visitors who come through, especially women with long, dark hair. They usually say it feels like someone's touching them. Gentlemen tend to complain it feels like someone's pushing them either down the stairs or towards the stairs, so...
Zak: There's nothing different than this, what's going on here, than probably any other guy's bedroom.
      Kate Feetham: Exactly.
Zak: If other guys come into my bedroom, I want to push them the Hell out. If girls come in there, um... we'll just leave it at that.

  • NOTES (0)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Zak: I'm going to call him Bluto.
Zak has nicknamed one of Fort Erie's docents after the cartoon character Popeye's nemesis on the cartoon Popeye the Sailor. Like Sam the docent, Bluto is a tough, hefty fellow who is best treated with caution.
