My review: the episode had alot of interesting history, and the evidence was great. but honestly, the "get out" EVP was not a ghost, it was Zak's body making the noise, but other than that, a perfect episode to the series and should be viewed by any Ghost Adventures fan.

    I will give this episode a perfect 10 /10 A +moreless

    • A new piece of evidence from this episode came to light in the fourth season's "Best Evidence So Far" special. A fan spotted this piece, and contacted the GAC, who took in under review, and they confirmed that it seemed to be paranormal. When the guys are down in the basement, they hear a noise behind them, and all three turn towards the sound. If you look closely, you can see a small object thrown to the ground from in front of the guys from a direction that would have been impossible for them to have done it themselves.

This episode also included one of the incidents tallied in the "Scariest Moments Special" episode. As part of his research into Pennhurst State, Zak decided to get a bird's eye view of the hospital complex by going up in a helicopter. Between his fear of heights, and the small size of the copter, Zak admits to be pretty terrorized by the experience. Another incident that made the special was when the Ovilus they were using said the word "hit", and shortly thereafter Zak was hit be a hat track falling into him after seemingly sliding by itself around a corner.

    • This episode is included in the Ghost Adventures season 2 DVD release.

    • Pennhurst was also investigated on the A&E paranormal TV show Extreme Paranormal in the episode "Pennhurst Insane Asylum". TAPS also investigated the institution in their seventh season Ghost Hunters episode "Pennsylvania Asylum", and later that same season in their "Live Halloween Special". The site would also be used for the first season episode of the Travel Channel's show Zak Bagan's Paranormal Challenge titled "Pennhurst".
