    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Special Thanks:
John Beechey - Easy Net Computers

      • This seems to be the first investigation filmed by the team, since Brad is explaining all the equipment to Michael and Carolyn in detail, and Carolyn is worried that Brad won't stay in contact with her throughout the investigation.

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Carolyn: That's the thing, you always wonder going into each location, 'Am I going to actually see a person, an I going to see a face?' But it's more a feeling that you're being watched, and so it's almost worse.

      • Carolyn: It does have a very weird energy about it, and I'm wondering if it's because I know a little bit of the history of the place. I feel a little bit as if I shouldn't speak, or I shouldn't really look in the windows because it's... I don't know, occupied, even though it's obviously empty.

      • Brad: Um, I really hate to do this to you, but we just had our EMF alarm go off in the morgue.
Carolyn: Am I going in the morgue?!
Brad: Unfortunately, yes. You will be going into the morgue. Electromagnetic flux is peaking at 7 milligauss, and that may indicate some type of spiritual activity in the immediate area.
        Carolyn: (panicking) Oh, crap!

    • NOTES (1)

      • The actual location of this hospital is not mentioned in the episode, in respect to its former patients. But many fans of the show from the Auckland area will recognize this as being the former Kingseat Hospital in Karaka.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Carolyn: This is way too Blair Witch, I'm getting out!
After being sent through the overgrown foliage to check out the morgue, Caro decides there are too many similarities in her situation to the 1999 horror move The Blair Witch Project, which featured a group of young paranormal researchers who are terrorized when they discover the entity they had gone into the haunted woods to seek. Like this show, the movie was filmed in a documentary though it mainly featured hand held cameras focused on the main characters, rather than POV and locked off cameras such as Ghost Hunt uses.
