  1. Be ready for anything in the investigation, including people trying to fool you with tricks and pranks.
  2. Don't just take what you see at face value, be proactive and look for alternate explanations for everything you see or hear.
  3. Having psychic abilities won't help you when your goal is to provide documented evidence of paranormal activity to other people.

- The TAPS team investigated Eastern State Penitentiary twice on Ghost Hunters, first, in the episode "Eastern State Penitentiary", and then a second time in the episode "Eastern State/Vacation Home". Steve took part in both, but Dave Tango was not yet a member of TAPS when these investigations took place. The Prison was investigated by MTV's Fear in the first season episode "Eastern State Penitentiary". The Crew from Ghost Adventures investigated the place in their second season episode "Eastern State Penitentiary". The site would also be used for an episode of the Travel Channel's show Zak Bagan's Paranormal Challenge titled "Eastern State Penitentiary".
