    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

    • QUOTES (3)

      • Karl: Very excited to get into the lighthouse. I'm a little scared of heights myself, but I feel like with the potential that we might see a shadow moving around up there, or we might hear some footsteps that, that turns all the fears off, and I'm running right towards the sounds!

      • Karl: What kind of investigative background do you have?
Chris Smith: Oh man, it's kind of hillbilly, really. I just go find the creepiest place, or a place that's known to have been haunted. And a lot of times I don't even get permission, I just go.

      • Chris Smith: I've always been interested in the paranormal, but I really didn't start getting really interested 'til the last six or seven years. I've gone to some dilapidated house out in the boondocks, you know- I fell through a ceiling one time just trying to go up there and find some creepy stuff, so, you know, that's just the kind of person I am.

    • NOTES (2)

      • Lessons Learned
        1. Skills can be learned, but passion for what you're doing is something you either have, or you don't. And if you don't, there's plenty of others that do.
        2. Not getting any evidence isn't necessarily a sign of failure- sometimes the ghosts just don't come out and play.
        3. When it's time to investigate as part of the team, you need to leave any personal conflicts you may have with one of your teammates behind, and focus solely on the task at hand.

      • Steve investigated the St. Augustine Lighthouse with TAPS twice previously, in the Ghost Hunters episodes "Haunted Lighthouse" and "Return To St. Augustine Lighthouse". Dave Tango was part of the team for the second investigation, but was not yet a member of TAPS during the first.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Ben: (climbing the lighthouse's 219 steps) Wow, I feel like Rocky right now!
Ben is referring to the famous training scene in the 1982 Sylvester Stallone movie Rocky, in which boxer Rocky Balboa runs up the 72 steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to the song "Gonna Fly Now". The city of Philadelphia later officially named them the "Rocky Steps".
