Wednesday 10:00 PM on SyfyBetween Seasons
I think I know what you mean, though, Scorp. I was perusingPazsaz.com,just now, checking on the status of one of my other favorite shows in the "Cancelled for 2009/10" section. Imagine my hilarious surprise, when I stopped in @ the "Renewed" section, and saw that "Vampire Diaries" will be coming back to CW for a _fourth_ season!
Just to be sure that we're all on the same page:
Scorpwana: My whole point is that there is no objectively verifiable "correct" list of episode numbers. Some lists include the specials and some don't. There is no official source that says "this episode is number 25". They number the episodes on various websites, and they number them on the DVDs (usually with different numbers) but this is just to make the list easier to read and has no meaning outside of that.
I also note that TV Guide has numbered the most recent live special (Alcatraz) as season 6, episode 1, while in the past they have not numbered any of the other live episodes. This goes to show that there is no standard way to deal with this situation, even within a single website.
I have edited this guide since it was on TV Tome, and I have always numbered the specials. Simply put, I see no reason to change the system that I have always used just because you prefer a different system. I respect your opinion, but do not think that it justifies the changes that would have to be made.
I cannot and would not "rank you down" in any way just because we disagree on a very minor issue like this, and none of this has any effect on whether or not you can submit information in the future.
thebuddaloomsky: In point of fact, information and accuracy are very important here. That is the reason that we are strict about what information we can accept. We need to have at least two of the following three pieces of information: title, air date, and summary. You only provided the title, so I was not able to accept your submission. In that particular case, someone else has already submitted the full information, or I would have probably looked it up myself and added it to your submission with a note to provide more complete info in the future.
Carycomic: Not sure what this has to do with the discussion. There is no connection between TV.com and the site you mention, so it really isn't germane.
