The Ghost Hunters team sets up all their gizmoes and digital cameras and voice recorders in a Victorian-era hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Known as the Crescent Hotel, it is several stories tall and was once a hospital for people with ailments that were incurable. A doctor once tried to "cure" the patients by using radical methods of treatment. Not many of them worked, and several people spent the last years of their lives in agonizing, slow deaths. Not only the patients, but also employees, nurses, and construction workers who worked at the hospital also put a lot of their lives and energy into the Crescent.
The team splits up and checks different levels. Spiritual activity has been reported all over the hotel, mostly on the fourth floor and the basement. Jason and Grant take their thermal imaging camera to the basement and see something that they cannot explain. An image of a person wearing some kind of uniform and a cap appears on the front of a utility locker with the number 2 on it. As they try and try to debunk what it could be, they realize that this amazing image and startling piece of evidence is a treasure. Apparently, a spirit made itself known in the physical realm and caused an image to show up in a heat-detecting camera.
They show this evidence to the caretakers of the hotel, and they don't seem surprised at all. They we truly thankful that the Ghost Hunters team found something that seems to coroborate the many experiences of people who have explored the Crescent Hotel.
In the next part of the episode, they investigate the claims of a psyhic medium who lives in Eureka Springs in the house of Dr. Ellison who founded the Crescent Hotel. As they sit there and talk to the person, the thermal imaging camera picks up swirls of energy surrounding the medium and Jason of the TAPS team. The energy seems to revolve around the people and can't be seen by the naked eyes and yet shows up as heat on the detection equipment.
Yet another piece of evidence that Eureka Springs, Arkansas seems to be rife with spiritual energies and activity in a sleepy little vacation town in the middle of nowhere.
