Investigation: USS Hornet - Alameda, California
Keith LaDue - Program Director
Daryl Chang - Security Chief
Winter LaDue - Crew Member
The investigation of the USS Hornet took place on September 9-10, 2008, according to the date embedded in the thermal camera footage.
Grant: Having Colin running around with us, that'll be fun, man. We'll have to send him with a team every once in a while and see how he does.
Jason: Hey, we probably should have told him to bring an extra pair of shorts. Yeah, 'cause this isn't a dramatic series, this is reality.
Colin: What I'm most trying to do is not stir anything up, as a first time investigator. I mean, on a selfish level, I'd love to experience something. I'd love to see or feel or go through something, that would be a monster success. But I know that's rare and hard to come by so we'll see where the night takes us.
Jason: All right, don't kill yourselves on the stairs. Can't let Colin get hurt, I need to see the next season of Eureka.
Colin: Not the experience I was expecting. You know, you always expect something out of Scooby Doo, right, with the whole friggin' sheet.
Grant: It's just creepy walking through here with all these old planes.
Jason: Yeah, well, think of the destruction these things caused.
Grant: The lives they saved.
Jason: Yeah, also the lives they took.
The USS Hornet has also been investigated by the Ghost Adventures crew in their fourth season episode "USS Hornet". MTV's Fear visited the ship in its first season episode "U.S.S. Hornet". It would also be the location for an episode of the Travel Channel's show Zak Bagans' Paranormal Challenge titles "USS Hornet".
