Episode Summary

Melinda reunites with some of her former high school classmates after one of the group dies unexpectedly.

Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • One of Melinda's friends from High School dies

In this episode of Ghost Whisperer the following happens. When one of Melinda's old class mates died, she is invited to his funeral. She goes with Jim. We learn that Lucas (the dead man), and tow of his friends from school, killed someone when they were drunk in high school. It haunted Lucas since the day it happened, they didn't report it, and so it hung over all 3 of them. We learn that when he died, Lucas apparently killed himself, with a lot of anti-depressants. They now believe that Lucas was killed by his fiend Ryan, who was also there the night that they killed someone. We soon learn that Lucas killed himself, when he took too many sleeping tablets. At the end the 2 surviving people of that night, go to the widow and confess what they did.moreless
  • Cute episode

Actually I think this season started a bit boring, but this episode was really cute.

I dont really know if it is because my personal life, but every time there is an episode about friendship it makes me emotional and this one was really cute.

It was all about protection and standing against our fears. Love is about that, huh? Protection! Sometimes we don't even realize or want admit like Ryan did, but it is all about protection.

Also, Melida's big fear may be stand against her past and that was exactly what she had to do, just like that she could help it out.moreless
  • Love this show!

This is just another example of why this show is so great! I thought the entire episode was well written and acted. It's refreshing to see Delia be a helpful part of solving Melinda's cases now rather than her inital repulsion to anything otherworldly. I do miss her hook up with Jim's buddy though. Sorry, back to this ep. I feel like Jaime Kennedy's character is fitting in well. I was a bit concerned when he came on due to his previous show. But his embracing the gift he's been given only helped me to like him that much more. I can't say that I was too impressed with the vest he wore, but that is neither here nor there. In regard to the episode, it was very reminiscent of "I Know What You Did Last Summer" without being a complete replay of the movie. The development wasn't obvious, I still had not guessed that it was the friend haunting the couple rather than the motorcycle rider until Melinda went to his apartment to talk to him. I'm hoping that episodes continue to be of this caliber. Sorry if this is so random, I'm still new to this reviewing deal. Maybe I'll have to start taking notes!moreless
  • I loved this episode. This is exactly why i love Ghost Whisperer : you lie down on your couch on a friday night, and you watch a case.... and this is what it was.... Eli is beggining to fit in the group, he wants to help...moreless

I was a little bit angry with Jim in this episode : because during the first 3 seasons, he was always saying ''i want a baby...'' Now that Melinda actually takes action, he says '' this is a lot of stress,... we already have so much stess in our life, let's not put that in that list'' ... i was like ''Man, you have to know what you want !!!'' The story ressemble a lot like I Know What You Did Last Summer.... but it was good, so i don't mide !!!!Otherwise, great episode, great guest stars and great Jennifer Love Hewitt !!!...

    I miss Payne already !!!moreless
  • Melinda discovers that someone she knew in high school is dead.

The storyline reminded me of something. A movie that Jennifer Love Hewitt actually starred in in 1997. Oh, that's right, I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Even though the plot may have been ripped straight from that movie, this was still another great episode. The show has the perfect blend of eery horror (I will admit that I jumped when the man clasped the window with Grace in the car) and mystery. Ghost Whisperer is far and above the best show on Friday nights and one of CBS' best dramas period.

People were not that accepting of Jamie Kennedy's addition to the cast but to me he is fitting in perfectly. I wasn't sure how he would work with Melinda after not being involved in the actual case like last week, but we're seeing that he'll be sort of an aid to the expert and help her crack the case.

As usual the acting was strong from everybody and although the ending was sort of obvious, this was still an entertaining episode.moreless

    • Eli: Shouldn't we be wearing latex gloves and carrying flashlights?
      Melinda: Knock yourself out.
Eli: No need, these will do the trick (holds up a bottle). Benzodiazepine. A little dose will help you get some sleep. A larger dose will help you with anxiety. Super-sizing can kill you.

      Jim: Him I know.

    • Delia: Are you calling Haylie?
Melinda: Are you kidding me? That girl was so perfect in high school there's not a crack in her demeanor, she would never open up to me.
