Back in the Early 70s, there was a rather Twilight Zone-like series called Ghost Story; it was renamed Circle of Fear to include episode not about ghosts. One of the episodes on that series was about a little girl who controlled her family using the dolls in her dollhouse, but when her home caught fire, she had to save the dolls to save her family. I bet the writers of this episode had to have been partially influenced by that episode and tried taking it to its usual conclusions. It's a scary tale that ads a bit anticlimactic for me, but it's still consistent with the series. My only problem is that Ghost Whiperer has drifted so far from being believable that I'm not that impressed with it and this episode combined with several previous episodes may be causing me to lose interest in the series. At this point, I'm not sure what it would take to keep me watching.moreless

All these mentions of "dollhouse" with Ghost Whisperer starting an hour before the FOX series of the same got me thinking, yeah they're on different networks, but could there be an agreement made to subtlely promote the show?

Anyway, I enjoyed this premise well. It reminded me of a Twilight Zone episode where Jessica Simpson babysat a girl who had the dolls of her past babysitters. The idea of children's toys always lead to an entertaining episode, but unfortunately the plot was a little flimsy and hard to follow and the ending was incredibly anticlimatic.

Not bad, pretty much an average episode of Ghost Whisperer.moreless
