  • First fail in the series.

While I enjoy this series quite a bit, this episode was quite a bummer to me.

While the general idea was great, the Second Life clone here was portrayed very badly. First of all, the way it felt and looked was rather... silly. Jennifer Love Hewitt in her sexy avatar form just didn't work. What's worse however, is that once again computer games are shown as one of the worst evils in the world. In this case, it seems to be a place where sexual predators lurk. Of course that DOES happen, but no more than on the streets out there. The general idea of the episode was great, but it came off rather dull until they finally stopped being "in the game".
  • Basically, this is the story of a young girl who plays in a computer game.... and she meets someone (Carl) and he is a bad guy in real life. He collects pictures from young girl and meet with them...

Well, Melinda rocks !I love her ! Seriously, this episode is, for me, the better ghost whisperer ever made since The Crossing episode (season 1 episode 2) This episode brings out (obviously) the problem we have nowadays : the fact that so many people are going online to play games.. Also, don't talk with people you don't know... I absolutly loveed when melinda got into the game... she was so beautiful (the make up and her hair was just wow !!! ) and the fight scene was incredibly well done !.... Yeah, we see Eli more in action !

So, great episode, great writing..... great directing..........
  • This was a unique episode, at first I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but it was a great ep overall, I was really pleased how it turned out.

A teenage girl suffering from the effects of her parents divorce, feels lonely and vulnerable she meets this guy she thinks is her friend. It turns out that he's only likes her cause he likes meeting girls and taking inapporiate pictues of them. Ned, Melinda, and Eli race to save the girl before he can do further damage than what's already been done. It's a race against time, and it shows just how far a parent will go to be part of their child's life, even if it's through an online world!! This is definitely one of the best episodes ever put out!!
  • I generally tend to steer clear of any gaming-related storylines in all my series.. just because this happens.

While the show itself was good as always, i really hated the references to gaming and how they played out. Just seeing how they portrayed it made me cringe.. similar to how real-life doctors cringe at seeing a House M.D. symptom or diagnostic. The whole show was put off for me just becouse of it, i actually had to stop watching mid-way and just record the rest because i totally lost interest. That aside, the drama was done alright and i loved JLH as usual.. interesting plot-twist twards the end but a tad predictable. Overall, gaming disaster aside, i enjoyed this episode.
  • A father tries to save his daughter from a sexual predator.

Being an online gaming nut it's great to see the subject crossover into popular television shows. The Big Bang Theory and American Dad have both done episodes related to computer games, but Ghost Whisperer simply outdid both.

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy are really started to fit perfectly together as a team. Melinda as the more relaxed and reasonable one, despite having a fire hydrant kicked at her head, and Eli as the slightly sarcastic one still trying to figure out how to use his gift.

This episode was built up well and halfway through featured a major twist as the man we believed to be the villain, turned out to be a deceased father desperately trying to save his daughter. The scene where he watched her get into the van was incredibly powerful and even your worst nightmares cannot compare to what he must have been going through.

Eventually he was able to break through and save his daughter by causing the car to malfunction. The police swarmed in and saved the day.

As dull as most Friday night television shows are Ghost Whisperer is also fresh and energetic. They just continue to outdo themselves in Season 4.
  • Melinda sees the ghost who may be connected to a cyber-predator. Starring: Jennifer Love Hewitt, David Conrad, Christoph Sanders, with Jamie Kennedy, and Camryn Manheim.

One of the few episodes of the series that did not focus on stopping the ghost by figuring out what he or she was doing, but to prevent something from happening. A good note. other good notes was that i really liked that Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) was able to get into the game, and i thought that was cool, but i wish that they would've done more with it. I also enjoy episodes that Ned (Christoph Sanders) appears in as he adds a different, younger essence to the show. However, some bad notes, Jim (David Conrad) and Delia (Camryn Manheim) barely appeared in the episode, and they are both great characters. Eli James (Jamie Kennedy) is not growing on me, but he may eventaully, i may just be suffering from the shock that Professor Payne (former star Jay Mohr) is no longer on the show. This was a decent episode, but the show has definitley had better episdoes.
  • Well I always love the exciting, this episode showed a beautiful story

I love all the series that goes with the supernatural, it is always so exciting and fun to watch.

But then it would be almost all the same right? Well each of them have a small something I like a lot about.

I like Ghost cause besides the mystery and all, they always have behind a really cute story about love and relationship.

I guess this one was one of the cutest that I remember, the love between a father and a daughter.

And it only showed that love can make us do anything, it can make us stronger and lead us to do things we would never imagine.

In this episode of Ghost Whisperer the following happens. We open with Ned showing Melinda how avatars work and creates one for her. Soon a real life avatar pops out, and is now is in the store with them. Soon Melinda herself enters the world of Avatars. She quickly exits. We learn that the real person behind the avatar, Phoenix, is a predator, who traps young girls. Melinda finds his dead body and they learn that the girl he is suppose to be after is actually his own daughter. He just wants to protect her. It was the only way which he could be in his daughter's life. Phoenix, found that she was emailing someone and he thought it may have been a predator, which are the same ones which have been passed onto Melinda. In order to find the predator Melinda goes back into the game. We son see that Elise arranges to met the predator. We son see Cal the predator picking her up, believing that he is the older brother of the boy she's going to met. She soon realises what is going on, and manages to escape with the help f her dead father. The police turn up and arrest Cal. The daughter says goodbye to her father and then we see Melinda crossing him over.

Ghost Whisperer is certiainly keeping up with the times, after this episode centred totally around an 'alt world', where Ned and some of his friends hang out!

Definitely thought the storyline was a great one. I really enjoyed some of the scenes with Jen in the online world. They really created those scenes realy well, particularly with the fire hydrant, car and building collapsing!

Definitely an episode which combined alot of aspects together spectacularly, and I really enjoyed that. I'd highly reocommend this one, which is definitely now one of my favorites!

Hoping for more great episodes, just like this one! This show is fantastic, and let's hope it continues just like that!
