  • The Pilot was average, The Crossing was disappointing but this one was really interesting. Writing a spin-off of Girls, Interrupted was a challenge and it was very well executed.

    8.0
    "Great"
Girls, Interrupted is one of my all time favorite psychological drama film ever. Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie are wonderful actresses and even if the characters are quite disturbed it's easy to understand them and share their sorrow. So after watching The Crossing the only reason that made me watch this one is because it's a spin-off of the film. Generally when it comes to rewriting a story the new production is really good or really bad. In this case the episode was really good.

The best thing about it is Jessica Collins's performance as Natalie and Zoe Harper. What a well inspired idea to merge the film characters into twin sisters. They're like the sides of the same coin. Natalie was the white dove, the perfect daughter. Zoe was the dark horse, the big disappointment to her parents. In fact I really liked her gothic-emo style, it perfectly contrasts with Natalie and Melinda's spirits. They're like angels and demons. It's the deep connection between them that made the episode so great. Sometimes it's like if Natalie was becoming Zoe. I really wished they would have covered their story on more than one episode, two at least. I also enjoyed the swimming challenge between them because it reminded me of Gattaca. My only real complain about this episode is the father scenes. The one when Melinda reveals him her secret is just ridiculous. So far I've watched it two times and even the second I couldn't help laughing at it. Fun is good but I don't think it was their intention. The actor's performance was also quite disappointing compared to Jessica's one. I would also have appreciated some more scenes with the mother because her relationship with Natalie seems quite controversial.

The other great thing about this episode was Melinda's story. In the Pilot and The Crossing we didn't learn much about her background, only that she can see dead people like the kid in The Sixth Sense. But in this one her relationship with her grand-mother was covered. It was beautifully done, funny and emotional. You really have to see Melinda with braces in her teenage years. Jennifer's acting was also quite good considering she had to hide her woman side, and what an apparel, to reveal who Melinda was at a younger age. A bit clumsy, caring deeply for her loving granma, trying to understand what to do with her gift… The flashbacks were also well mixed with the present events because they occurred in the same places. I specially liked the way the institute room morphed into her granma hospital. I can't see how you can restrain your tears watching the scene. I only wished it lasted a little bit longer, to make the process even more dramatic and keep crying like a little baby. In fact it reminded me of the film Ghost, its shooting scene.

So if the first two episodes didn't convince you to watch the show, this one will definitely change your mind. Jennifer is beautiful and her acting nearly perfect. Melinda's story is interesting and watching this episode made me curious about her boyfriend, how they met for example.

This is my favourite episode of ghost whisperer ever. I think it was a really great plot to see how twins are emotionally attached and what happens when one of them dies. I know how Nat must be feeling becaue my cousins are twins and are joined at the hip. I like the fact that the reason Zoe couldn't move on was that she had slept with her sister's boyfriend when she was drunk. I also like the fact that in the end Nat tapped the buoys for both of them and the fact that they made it seem like she was going to let herself drown.
  • A twin seeks Melinda's help with comunicating with her sister who is a psychiatric patient.

The opening teaser left me a little curios. I instanly wanted to know more about this girl (the deceased). Jessica Collins play both the deceased Zoe and her twin Natalie. I personally love the roles Jessica plays. She seems to have the delusional psychopath role down to a science. Her best role ever in my opinion was on CSI. I loved the black dress Jennifer wore to dinner with her friends, cant say the same for the little blue thingy she wore in the very beginning. What was she thinking? This episode show the true bond between sister and an even bigger bond between twin sisters. I cant imagine how hard it must be for a twin to feel like the other twin is loved more than the other. I know this show is fictional but the storyline is so true. Very nice.

Melinda Helps A Twin Called 'Zoey' Apologize To Her Sister, 'Natalie' As Well As Relaying A Message To Her Dad.

Melinda Has Flashbacks To The Time When Her Grandma Died.

'Zoe' Drowned And Now She Wants To Apologize To Her Sister, For Sleeping With Her Boyfriend 'Tom', Melinda Also Relays A Message For The Father And He Admits He Always Thought Of 'Zoe' As An Individual And Not Just As 'Natalie''s Twin Sister!!

I Love The Bits When Melinda Has Flashbacks To The Time When Her Grandma Died And She Locked Herself In Her Room, And At The End Of The Episode, She Says "Happy Birthday Grandma". 'Zoe' Crossed Over As Well.

Two twins, one alive and one dead still need one another. The surviving twin is in a psycho ward, put there by her mom and dad, and is haunted by her dead twin. Melinda becomes close to the surviving twin and can't understand the anger of the dead one. Finally there is a breakthrough when the ice is broken and the dead twin admits sleeping with the surviving twin's boyfriend. Peace is finally made between the sisters and the anger the dead twin feel dissipates. But her sister makes a last ditch effort to finsh a game of ball they practiced and Jim, Mel and the parents all witness the winning game.

Jessica Ava Collins plays twin sisters, one of whom has drowned, in "Ghost, Interrupted". The surviving twin has been placed in a mental hospital, as a result of telling her parents that she sees her dead sister. Melinda attempts to reunite the sisters, but the ghost is feeling rather spiteful because she believes their father favors the living daughter. It doesn't help that the girls' mother isn't buying any of this. Collins is very convincing in dual roles. By this episode, we begin to be aware of other ghosts wandering in and out of Melinda's life, not all of whom can be helped.
  • A ghost haunts her twin sister.

What boys can do to a girl's life! The one twin sleeps with the other twin's boyfriend and then takes a swim. She is trying to reach a ball that she never can reach. She doesn't reach it this time either. She drowns. She dies. Check it: She haunts her sister. Her sister can sense the twin's presence. The dead twin is angry that the surviving twin always got all the praise. She also wants to confess that she slept with her boyfriend. Melinda is able to help facilitate the healing between sisters after the surviving sister makes the same swim and reaches the ball. The dead twin crosses into the light knowing all is forgiven. A nice show, a little uneven.
  • I loved this episode!!

I loved this episode! I loved the whole thing with the twins, Natalie and Zoey, it was very interesting and nothing like any other episode. I must say I was in shock when Natalie dressed up like Zoey and pretended to be her, for a while I couldn't tell which one she was. I also liked how they had the flashbacks of Melinda's and her grandmother, it was so sad. Anyway, I really liked this episode and it was very well written. I have the first season DVD and since I got it I have watched this episode at least twenty times. Go Ghost Whisperer!
  • I put painful to watch as its the nearest to what i thought but it's not THAT bad

    "Poor"
This episode was just too much.

It was too over wrought, they just piled on too much misery for one set of twins and all of it was cliched and seen in countless other shows frankly as had the "this is for you" moment.

All the "i just wanted you to notice me" could have come from any generic day time soap.

The husband is growing on me now as although he is still a tad too perfect he is at least demonstrating a sense of humour now.

I also liked (if thats the right word) the stuff about her gran crossing over although i guessed as soon as she popped up whilst supposedly sleeping that she had died.

Plus, what the hell was JLH wearing at the start of this episode?? sack the wardrobe manager. It takes a huge lack of taste to make JLH look unattractive but this show is certainly trying its best

  • Why wasn't this the Pilot?

    8.2
    "Great"
Why wasn't this episode the pilot? The pilot was so dull and drag, that if I'd seen it when the series originally aired, I would've quit while I was ahead.

    I totally loved this episode.

I loved the difference between the twin sisters, even though one was dead, you could still see how different they were from each other.

This episode had suspense, danger, emotion and a little bit of action, which was totally lacking from the pilot and second episode.

It was fun seeing Andrea outside of the shop, but they could've have made a match in heaven for the grl.

    Overall, brilliant episode.

  • Great episode. The show gets better and better every week. Worth your time if you were a "Touched by an Angel" fan.

Jennifer Love Hewitt continues to do a great job with Ghost Whisperer. This episode was definately very emotional, but not as much as previous episodes.

I really loved the rage and revenge that was a part of the episode. This is the third epsiode, meaning for the third week in a row, I cried over a TV show. This has to be a new record for me considering I don't cry for anything.

Aww Factor: Melinda gets flashbacks of her grandmother leading us to have a better view of Melinda. This was a very touching moment for me. It delved into Melinda's past which has been a bit of a mystery since the start of the show.

Cry Factor: The moment of resolution. I felt the sister trying to achieve what her twin could not was very pivotal for her life, and helping her get out of the nut house.
  • A very touching story which reveals the strong link between identical twins. As an identical twin, I was moved to tears by the end of this episode. This is the 3rd episode and I have watched the other two and all episodes have moving stories.

This episode had several flashbacks of Melinda and her beloved Grandmother, who also had the gift to see earthbound spirits. Different incidents trigger Melinda's memory, plus the fact her grandmother's birthday is coming up soon. These flashbacks comprised a story within a story but both were about two people closely bound together.

My identical twin sister and I were both in tears at the end of this episode. Superb acting by the entire cast!
  • The show is ok, but not my kind.

To me there are many many plot holes, but I can see how it may be someone's type, it is a show built for the 50's. simple and not solid based on characters that are realistic. If you can get into the show it will be for the basic plot, not the character intereaction or the depth. This was the 3rd show, and that's what I give a new series. On a boring day I may watch again.
  • This show just keeps on getting better and better.

Jennifer Love Hewitt just continues to shine in this role, and the writing is top notch. I don't know what else to say, just watch this show!

I think this episode was the best one yet, but it wasn't as emotional as the other ones, at least, personally I didn't find it as sad as the previous ones; this episode was more about rage and forgiveness. But the acting of the actress playing Natalie and Zoe was great.
  • A great episode.

In this episode, Melinda is helping a desceased twin help get her sister out of mental hospital. I must say that I found somewhat saddening the way Natile's mother didn't believe that she wasn't crazy for sensing her sister Zoe after her untimely death. I also thought that it was really neat in the way that Zoe refused to cross over until she helped her parents see that her sister was in good mental health, and she didn't care how she did it with Melinda's help. Another interesting part of the episode is how we get the flashbacks of Melinda with her grandmother both before and after she died, because she helped Melinda hone her skills in helping the desceased souls cross over. This episode has me looking forward to next week.
