Out of character and silly a very horrible Ghost Whisper episode, The Lost Boys. Semi stereotypical and I hated the fact they used a little boy and have him wear a dead animal on his head, horrible! The storyline is semi interesting and the charter of the guy tearing down the building and his connections with the lost boys. Sometimes Ghost Whisperer overdose it and makes it seem not real, I believe in spirts and crossing over but Ghost Whisperer has a lot of unrealistic situations and episodes which i do not like. But why subject a boy and the audience to a dead tortured animal throughout the entire episode? Just sick, sad and horrible
I think this is a rather cute episode about these boys who have die in this tragic fire and their souls are trapped in this orphanage. Its Melinda's job to help this boy cross over before they tear down the building their souls are trapped in. It's a cute storyline and all but I am not feeling this show at all. I am getting more and more disappointed with each episode. I just can't see how people can get hooked on this show. I'm trying to understand this show but if they want more people to watch I think they have to do better.
"Lost Boys" is exactly what it sounds like: Melinda comes to the aid of a group of little boys, killed in an orphanage fire, who have been waiting for the return of one of their playmates, who may have escaped from the fire. Melinda plays Wendy to their collective Peter Pan. The leader of the group is in fact the Peter Pan surrogate; he has no wish to move on and grow up, as it were. Meanwhile, a developer is intent on tearing down the old structure and replacing it with condos, which will leave the boys with no place to play hide and seek. The resolution contains a great twist, one that few will see coming. Many will recognize Bruce Weitz from "Hill Street Blues" as the developer. This continues a tradition of what I choose to call stunt casting in many of the episodes. They employ an actor or actress who is familiar from the movies or past TV shows.
Not only did Melinda help the boys but she also helped the guy that left when he was alittle boy and blamed himself for not getting the boys out. It was one of the best with a great ending.
Melinda was great with the boys she didnot stop until she helped each and every little boyI cannot think of the man\'s name but she helped him to over come his guilt of leaving the house and his guilt of burning the house. Melinda even helped the boys see that it was okay for them to let go, and when she brought the boys and the man together it was avery touching moment. This episode was very emotional, it was sad and happy and it made you think. This episode made you want to take the boys in your arm and make every thing okay.
Melinda and Andrea are doing very well with their business. It fits Melinda the character very well with her extra talent. They hold their first estate auction, liquidating the items in Mr. Abrams's house. This is where Melinda first sees the boys.
Another tearful episode (It always is when it deals with kids). They were just like Peter Pans lost boys and they all played the part very well.
The twist at the end that Ernie is still alive was a bit expected but it rounded off a very well written episode.
I think the reason why this show has done so well is that there are few other show about psychics. Okay so there’s Medium, but I think this particular genre is rather having dry spell and any show in this category is bound to do well. So anyway, I watched the first two episodes, which were ok, but I can't see how anyone could become hooked. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree, but I felt this week was once again the same. Melinda is having an auction in an old home, where she meets the ghosts of three boys who died in a fire which took place there in the orphanage. Unfortunately, the building is being torn down and she has to get the boys to pass on, otherwise they will have no where to go. After investigating and getting to know the boys, she eventually finds out that the man who is having the building demolished used to live there, and he escaped the dreadful fire that took place and left his friends to perish. Okay the episode wasn't that bad, but I want to see the show become more dramatic if I'm going to keep watching.
I really liked this episode....it's made up for the last two.
The show begins Melinda and Andrea are contracted to remove antique furniture from an old orphanage and salvage what's saleable, but Melinda soon realises that ghosts also inhabit the building
The orphanage burns down and the ghosts of three young boys still plague the structure, when they refuse to leave their old life of comfort and safety behind.
The episode had emotion, tragedy, love and a dash of hate.
We saw Melinda in a motherly role, which I hope never happens on the show.
In this episode, Melinda needs to help three boys to move on and staying in the house because seh will be destruct in a few days. One of them is not ready to go. he thinks that's because of him if the others are dead. Jim's friend arrives in town.
This episode was not the best one. I think that they could have done better with this one. It's so funny when Jim's friend came to the house. Melinda dosen't like him and when you watch all that is doing you understand why she wants him oou of the house. Even if it was the best episode, it was good. Goodjob guys. Good luck for the rest.
I thought this episode was soooo sweet. Usually when this show gets sappy with the dead adults, it's a bit much... but when it has to do with kids, it's really good. And Ernie not being dead was really good, too. I thought, at the end, when the dog came to bother Melinda and her husband, I just thought "awwwwwwww that poor dog!" How is she going to get a dog to cross over?? He was such a cute puppy, too...
In this episode, we find Melinda and Andrea host their first antiques auction for Mr. Ambrams, who owns a run-down hotel that once was an orphanage. While movining some items for the auction, Melinda runs into 3 boys and their who lived in the oprhanage, but died in a fire that destroyed the place. At first it seems that she didn't want to help the boys cross right away, but once she met the new owner, whose plans are to tear down the old orphanage, Melinda steps up her plans to find out why the boys, specifically Rat, refuse to cross over. After she finally earns their trust, Melinda starts working on trying to have the new owner, Mr. Northrop not tear down the building, at least until until the boys cross over. It was when the auction was taking place when Melinda realizes that Mr. Northrop's real identity is that of Ernie, a boy believed to have also died in the fire. It was after this when they go back to orphanage and talk about what happened on the night of the fire that happened years ago. Mr. Northrop tells her how guilty he has felt since then about how he made it out of the fire while the other boys were trapped inside, trying to get to him and then make it out safely. It was after hearing this, the boys feel that they are ready to cross over, with Rat saying how he can't wait to see his brother who passed away after he was adopted. However, before the boys go, they tell Melinda how they would consider her their mother, which I found to be touching. The part of the episode that I found most enjoyable was the ending, with the boy's dog finding his way to Melinda's house, like he adopted Melinda and her husband as his new people. A great installment, a big improvement over last week's episode.
