  • Melinda is very blue for Andrea's death, and she thinks she needs help to cross over.

I think this is a good pilot for a second season, but I think Andrea's character would have been in this season. She was a good friend of Melinda, and I think is unfair to have killed her in the season's finale. Otherwise, I think this is a very good beginning, because this episode really scared me. The hat man is scaring, man... and I hope they don't kill any other character in Melinda's life, because it's very blue to see how main characters are dying. I love this series. The story is always great. This tv show has good writers. Enjoy it.

  • This epi focuses on Andrea who is dead

Wide Brim Man wants Andrea bad. Check it: Melinda goes and talks to Professor Payne to figure out who the creep is! Andrea and Mitch talk out their problems via Melinda so Andrea feels strong enough to pass the wide brim man and go into the light. It was a real tear jerker as the two make their peace with one another. In the end Andrea gets brave enough and crosses into the light. I was sad that they (producers) killed off her character. She was such a good friend to Melinda and helped her so much with her gift. I am a bit angry still that the powers to be decided to end Andrea's life.
  • Melinda does show that she connects with her business partner and much loved friend. Like everyone else she assists to cross over, she does not appear to favour Andrea, once Andrea realises it is her and not Mitch that has died. A great episode for me.

I have read the 'script' as it was written above, but feel it is out of order. Before Melinda meets Romano in the closet, Melinda sees Andrea in the shower. Most of the wording seems more accurate, just the order, is all. I actually was watching the episode in question just before I wrote this review.

I also have the two episodes that led up to, and included the final of the last season, so I can back up what i say about the episode. I hope the series continue well into the future, and that every episode can be as riveting as that one was. Thank you, kat

melinda is still trying to get over the death of andrea. In this episode melinda is dreaming that andrea is still alive and is trying to get in touch with her.

andrea is stuck cos of the guy in the black coat and hat. romano has told andrea she can go to heaven cos she is not forgiven. melinda tried to help andrea and was able to help for in the end as andrea got to talk to her brother ( he was suppose to be on the plane last season). it was sad when they all sad goodbye to each other. and at the end andrea went into the light.

It really was painful to watch, Andrea saying goodbye was not very nice, at all! I don't uderstand why they killed Aisha's role! Andrea was a good friend of Melinda, shouldn't be dead! But now she's gone and there is nothing we can do about it! Let's hope someone better shows up to fill her in!
  • I wish that Andrea could be saved...

However, she is gone.and Melinda gets a new partner.

That sounds great. But i am still wondering when will she share her secret wiht the new partner ?

I am glad that Melinda can move on when she comes over new problems. I admire her husband , who supports her and gives her lots of help to finish her mission . I love this episode very much . I wish that the spirits show up not in that awful appearance . That scares me sometimes ^_^

however , if there is no scaring thing the tv show will be lack of something . :P
  • Very sad but moving episode

Melinda fears as though that Andrea is crossing over into the occult and other things as she seeks help from a physcologist and also tries to lean about the occult and dangerous stuff that may lead to witchcraft and believing in not heaven but the other place. Very good show as well as really shows that spirits never die.
  • I am so sad. What a colossal missed opportunity!

    7.0
    "Good"
I can't tell you how disappointed I am that Andrea has crossed over! I thought for sure that she would hang on throughout the season, acting as a helper and continued confidante to Melinda. Together, I thought, they would figure out the mystery of the hat guy and put him out of commission; that doing so would take one from the world of the living and the other from the world of the dead. This would have given great meaning and purpose to Andrea's death… Imagine, if - being dead, she was able to help in ways that alive she could not. The missed opportunities are just astounding!

Can you imagine such a partnership between the living and dead? The two of them – great friends, conquering the boundaries of life and death - unified towards the greater good of conquering an evil spirit?

Additionally, the character of Andrea was one of the things that made this show for me. The friendship the two shared was so genuine, so wonderful to see. I will miss it so. As shocking as her death was in the season 1 finale, I got very excited thinking of the future possibilities of keeping her around in the spirit plane...

OH! I am so disappointed! This show could have become exceptionally special, but instead, it was merely painful to watch.
  • I felt dissapointed to see angela croos over.

    "Great"
I was expecting to be able to have Angela for more episodes, since she had been such a great character all throughout the show,at least as a sort of GUARDIAN SPIRIT or some sort of ADVISOR for Melinda, but then she crossed over, big bummer! Another thing I didn't really understand was why she appeared to be decomposing-like in some shower scenes, that kind of altered my understanding of what was happening, made me think her soul was Dying or something. Overall, this episodes was ok, I anxiously waited for it, but was not too satisfied. I do hope an Angela-like character comes along in the future.
  • This episode was amazing. The beginning really had me convinced that Andrea was in a coma and wasn't actually dead.

This episode was amazing. The beginning really had me convinced that Andrea was in a coma and wasn't actually dead. But then Melinda woke up and realized that it was just a dream. I didn't want Andrea to die. She was a really good friend to Melinda. I thought that Andrea's spirit would of been around for a few more episodes. The Ramano after Andrea's spirit plot could of lasted a bit longer. But that would of just made it harder for Melinda to move on with her death. It was an awful way for Kyle(the mysterious man obsessed with Melinda) to die, hit by two cars.
  • A great way to start the new season.

When "Free Fall" ended the previous season of "Ghost Whisperer," I was wondering in what way the writing staff of the show would handle Andrea crossing over after her death. Now, with "Love Never Dies," the intensity that was present in the cliffhanger ending of the previous episode continued and it was nice to see a lot of questions answered.

What I really enjoyed about this episode was how Melinda learned more about "Wide Brim" from Professor Payne, mainly because I found their scenes together to be pretty funny, a somewhat lighthearted side to the Melinda's search into the dark history of Romano/Wide Brim.

Something else that I really enjoyed were the scenes between Melinda and Andrea when she suspected Wide Brim was keeping Andrea from crossing over, and then the end when they were with Mitch saying their goodbyes. While I was sad to see Andrea to go into the light, it was still really touching and I almost started crying.

However, one thing that I didn’t like about this episode dealt with the man from Seattle. In this episode we don’t really know who he is or what his story is, yet he is obsessing over finding out where Melinda lives and how to get there. While we’re most likely going to find out about him in upcoming episodes, there could have been more of a hint to his identity in this episode.

With that said, I was really happy with how the season premiere opened up with this episode of “Ghost Whisperer.” If “Love Never Dies” is any indication of what is to come, then the rest of the new season of the show should be great.
  • "Love Never Dies" ties up loose ends, but unravels some new ones. This was a pivotal story in that it sets up lots of new potential stories, as it closes the chapter from the first season in a sad, but satisfying way.

    "Superb"
Although sad at times, this episode closes the book on season one in a very satisfying way. "Love Never Dies" ties up loose ends, but unravels some new ones as Ghost Whisperer sets up new plot twists and story arcs for what may turn out to be an excellent second season, despite the sad loss of Melinda's co-worker, Andrea.

It was nice to see Andrea again, and it was a great story, well told. The characters introduced as a result of what happened to Andrea were interesting, and I am guessing they will become part of this season's overall story arc. The professor was obnoxious but amusing, and the Wide Brimmed hat man was a little tacky (and reminded me of the devil from Joan of Arcadia's season 2). The guy from Seattle who was looking for Melinda might prove to be interesting, but we'll have to see how that develops.

    *****SPOILER ALERT*****

The only thing that sort of annoyed me was the way the writers led us to believe that Andrea hadn't died. ARGH! Such a cheap shot!!!! ...otherwise I would have rated the episode a little higher.
  • A very sad episode.

I thought the Crossing was the saddest episode of Ghost Whisperer but manybe im wrong its this or tied with this. This episode is where Miranda trys to get Andrea to cross over but there is a dark spirit to prevent her from crossing over. Miranda uses Andreas brother to tell her it wasnt Andreas fault. The ending is creepy with that man looking to get even but fails to get to her by getting hit by two cars.
  • Oh Andrea!

Andrea's soul has been in the high risk since the last season. However, thanks to loves from Melinda and Andrea's brother, Andrea's spirit successfully got over hates and guilt then she crossed over finally. We will miss her for sure!

So sad...I hope Melinda will get a new good friend like Andrea soon. The show might be too boring if Melinda got to have only her husband to consult and discuss with.

It was better that finally Romano's mysterious became a bit more clear even though it was not like a crystal clear but at least the show gave more clues to their fan.

By the way, it was good that Malinda could see all spirits again as her usual.
  • Simply put, I liked this episode...

    9.5
    "Superb"
I loved this episode, simply because it was good to see how the good & evil spirits can work against each other, and in such powerful ways.

And it was good to see how even someone like Andrea could be unduly influenced by a very dark spirit... maybe sometime the writers would have someone close to Melinda end up going over to the dark side.

Maybe that's what the next episode is all about; an ex-boyfriend is coming into the picture... so I'd say it's deffinitely possible.

It'll be good to see more of Melinda's past, in my opinion. But it wouldn't hurt to see more of Jim's family. The last time we saw them, it was in the series premire, if I'm not mistaken...
  • Wonderful. I cried throughout the show

Wow! I could not stop crying throughout the show. This show I can't help but love. That Romano guy is really going to get what's coming to him. I know it. Andrea still isn't alive! Bring her back to life!!!! This story is starting to get scary too. The Romano guy making a whole bunch of people (100 people to be exact) kill themselves for some kind of devil worshipping thing. I hope Melinda sticks it to him. Melinda seems different. she looks like she did something different with her make up. Is this a whole new ghostwhisperer? I'll be tuning in next week.
  • The Dead Are Back...And Love Does Never Die

    9.5
    "Superb"
It started off kinda slow (maybe due to the whole season hiatus) but it slowly picked up from where the cliff-hanger left off. Did anyone else noticed that before the episode started and they showed little Melinda and how Melinda got her gift that every shot of Jennifer was new? I found that cool yet not really cause I didn\'t like it lol.

Things I found really great about the episode was how even though an important character dies they still treat that person like a living person giving her some great character background/developement like how Melinda told Andrea her secret and how she sorta excepted it and how over a couple of years it turned into an unseperable bound. I also love the theme of the episode and it\'s really true Love does Never Die. The Wide Brim Man was still so and so (creepy yet not really) I did though like how they explained how he became so powerful and how he had the power to control people to kill themselves. The ending what can I say it totally broke my heart seeing Melinda say goodbye to her \"sister\".

Now onto little comments. I really like how they changed Melinda\'s look up alot from last season. I think the way she looks now suits Jennifer more than it did before. I also loved that they remembered to keep Andrea in the same clothes that she died in lol cause I\'ve seen a couple of shows *cough Charmed cough* that change their clothes ever so often.

It came with a twist, because I thought Andrea’s brother was the one who was killed in the plane crash, but it turned out to be Andrea. I was afraid of what the evil spirit was going to do to Melinda and Andrea. The sad thing is they had to cut Andrea out of the show already. I nearly cried at the end. These two were best of friends. It was great to see the show again. I don’t know what to expect this season but am looking forward to see what happens this season. The directors and writers are doing a great job with the show, keep it up!
  • Melinda tries to stop Andrea from crossing while the mysterious figure known as Romano threatens to take her away and come back for Melinda.

    7.5
    "Good"
First review but I've been steadily watching this show.

It's a very interesting show in the tradition of "Dead Like Me" but with an emphasis on drama rather than comedy.

Anyhow, very decent episode. Since Melinda's routine of guiding spirits is always emotional taking Andrea's spirit

and her death was emotionally harrowing.

We believe that Melinda might actually get Andrea back but certain things get in the way of that including this figure known as Romano.

Melinda gets the advice of a stuck up Professor (played as only Jay Mohr can) but he's not that helpful. The real turning point was Melinda's connection to Andrea's brother, Mitch. She revealed her secret to him, but in the end Andrea finally crossed over. A touching goodbye made this a very memorable episode.
  • Ghost Whisperer has gotten off to a great start for their second season.

The writers, producers and the show creator actually respected the audiences attachement with Andrea. I didn\\\'t know what to expect with this season premier. I hated to think that maybe, the writers, producers and the shows creator would not understand nor respect this attachement with Andrea. Other so call \\\"genius heads\\\" haven\\\'t why would I think that this would be any different. But they did a pretty decent job of it. The struggle that Andrea went through was heart breaking. Oh but the ending..oh my goodness the ending now that was something. Episode left me wanting more. Good Job
